Alexandra’s first novel was published in 2006 and is titled The Harrowing. St. Martin’s published that book and her second novel, The Price. Her third novel came out in 2009 and is titled The Unseen. She has since written several stand-alone fiction novels.
Alexandra also composes novellas and nonfiction. Her novellas include the 2011 story The Space Between and her 2018 story In Atlantis. Alexandra is a native to California. She spent her early years growing up in the northern and southern part of the state. Her parents were scientists and educators. Alex participated in musical theater when she was young, dancing, singing, acting, and playing piano. She even directed plays as a teen and lived for a year in Istanbul as an exchange student.
She attended U.C. Berkeley, majoring in theater and minoring in other subjects. Alex kept busy with a lot of things, writing, directing and acting in all types of theater productions. She also trained to learn jazz and modern dance. She directed as well as choreographed four musicals, sang vocals in a bar, audited a variety of classes in different subjects, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Once she graduated college, she moved to Los Angeles. There she kept writing, doing adaptations of novels and selling original scripts to studios in Hollywood. She also worked in a bookstore, taught juveniles in the prison system of LA County, and read screenplays for studios. Her first screenplay sold in a bidding war. Alexandra has sold thriller, horror and suspense scripts as well as adaptations to different studios such as Disney, Fox, Sony, Miramax and for producers like Michael Bay.
The author credits her inspiration and success to her tendency to cross the supernatural with real life explanations and base her action on that. For instance, her novel The Unseen was based on Duke University and the paranormal research conducted in their parapsychology lab.
The author resides in Los Angeles as well as Scotland, along with Craig Robertson, a Scottish author that specializes in the crime/noir genre.
The author loves reading and writing but when she is not busy with that she likes to dance. She enjoys everything from swing to salsa to ballet, jazz, and Lindy. She loves dancing whenever she can and has taught it. She also likes to go on travel adventures. She performs with the Slush Pile Players, Heather Graham’s author group, and the cabaret group with all authors in the U.K., The Slice Girls. She has belonged to the Writers Guild of America, serving on its Board of Directors, and the Mystery Writers of America, also on their board.
Alexandra Sokoloff is the creator and the author of the Huntress/FBI Thriller series of fictional novels. The series started off in 2013 with the publication of Huntress Moon. This was followed by the publication of the sequel, Blood Moon. The third novel came out, titled Cold Moon. This book was followed by Bitter Moon and Hunger Moon, as well as Shadow Moon. The series focuses on an FBI agent who is searching for a serial killer that might just be a woman. It’s in development to be a television series with the author as the writer and the producer.
Huntress Moon is the first novel in the Huntress and FBI series of fictional novels by Alexandra Sokoloff. It was nominated for best (eBook) original novel for a Thriller Award. This is the debut story featuring a motivated FBI agent that’s looking for a female serial killer.
The main character in this story is Matthew Roarke. He’s a special agent with the FBI. Right now, he’s making progress, closing in on a criminal organization and getting ready for a bust in San Francisco. When he sees an undercover team member killed in front of him, he believes there’s no way it’s a coincidence.
Matt is highly suspicious and starts looking for answers. Right away, he’s drawn to a young woman and tracking her. The mysterious lady seems to have been placed at the scene of various accidents as well as murders over the years. Could this be a case of the rare female serial killer? He continues to look for her on a quest that will take him over several state lines.
Meanwhile, a father and his young son are healing from a divorce that happened recently. They live in a coastal town that’s quite small. Then they meet a young woman who appears to be lost while on the beach. They befriend the woman, never thinking she could be dangerous.
Matt is racing to find answers. When he finds out things about her background, he knows that this woman is on a mission. Can he take her down before blood is spilled? Read this book to find out!
Blood Moon is the second book in the Huntress/FBI series by Alexandra Sokoloff. If you liked the suspenseful first book, check this one out too!
It’s been 25 years since a serial killer scared the daylights out of the state of California. They killed three families and then seemed to disappear without a sign of them anywhere.
The only person to survive was a child at the time. Now the FBI’s looking for her for alleged crimes that she committed too. Matthew Roarke is on the case. The special agent goes on a manhunt over several states to try and track down the suspect. He feels sympathy for the past that she has that may have led to her actions, but also has a duty to his job.
When Roarke finds new evidence that more families may have been killed, things change. He’s tracking a clearly dangerous woman, but can catching her stop more bloodshed? Read this book to find out!
