Aleatha Romig, born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is a bestselling author of New York Times and USA Today. She lives south of Indianapolis, Indiana but grew up in Mishawaka and graduated from Indiana University. She is married to her high school sweetheart for almost thirty years and together they are looking after three children. She likes to read, exercise and spend time with near and dear ones during her spare time. Aleatha enjoys travelling especially to destinations that involve a beach. In 2011, she visited Sydney to meet her daughter who is studying at the University of Wollongong. She dreams of travelling around the world in real life as well as in her book.Elton John and Billy Joel are her favorites apart from jazz, when writing. Usually she prefers the atmosphere to be quiet when writing.

She worked as a dental hygienist before and would write in the night. Now she is a full time author who likes to writes books based on suspense, romance and thriller. The author is represented by Danielle Egan-Miller of Browne & Miller Literary Associates and is a “Published Author’s Network” member of the Romance Writers of America.

About the author’s books

Her first novel, CONSEQUENCES was released in August of 2011. This novel was a part of the Consequences series and the very first book out of the five books. Later two companion books were released between the year 2011 and 2015. Consequences revolves around Anthony and Claire Rawlings’ epic saga. This series has quickly become an an all time favorite and more than half a million e-readers are fond of this blockbuster story.

During the fall of 2014, she released another series called the Tales from the Dark Side, Insidious an erotic thriller. The next fall, she released her book called the Betrayal, which belongs to the ‘Infidelity’ series of books. It also happens to be the first book of the series of five books and is strongly based on dark romance.

Characters from her books

She creates heroes and anti-heroes who come across as very realistic. These characters tend to haunt the readers in their dreams. The men depicted by her in all her books are usually rich, powerful and controlling, whereas the women are beautiful and often submissive in nature. The women characters are usually trying the solve the problems and trying to win the game play. In Consequences, Claire tries to understand the hidden truths, but is dominated by Tony who is irresistible to her. Insidious has Mrs. Stewart Harrington who is controlled by her husband, but the fact remains that she is making him play her game.

Consequences

In her very first book Consequences, Aleatha Romig breathes life into Claire Nichols and Anthony Rawlings’ characters. In this book, Claire Nichols is a sweet, beautiful, resilient and determined woman who is abducted by her date, Anthony Rawlings. Claire is under confusion as to why is she being held up in his luxurious mansion, but she is certain of the fact that she is his acquisition and every action has consequences. Her mere existence depends on the hands of her captor and she needs to learn the art of survival in her new life.

Anthony Rawlings is a wealthy businessman who is tall, dark eyed and handsome. He is a master of deception and is driven by strange demons.To the public eye he maybe a kind hearted rich gentleman who does a lot of charity. But in reality he cannot tolerate imperfection and is a dangerous captor with strict orders. He presents himself well in front of public and has never put a foot wrong. Naturally Claire’s public failure is not tolerated by him as appearances are the most important factor to him.

To solve the mystery, Claire needs to follow his orders. The story line is based on whether or not Claire succeeds in her plans in spite of Tony playing with her mind and heart. Another twist to the story is that Anthony could get fascinated by beautiful Claire’s strength and persistence, and change the course of game. Question is – Will the two survive the consequences eventually?

Truth

‘Truth’ is the second book of the ‘Consequences’ novel series. This book is as riveting and suspenseful as the first book. In this book, the reader realizes Claire is successful in captivating her captor. Anthony’s supremacy became his passion and his fixation turned into fondness. But Claire’s choices pushed his persistent feud too far and Claire has barely survived the consequences.

Though Claire has more information in hand, she yet has more questions to ask than answers to reveal. Claire works on discovering the truth behind the game play. She has to choose her friends wisely. But she is confused as all the players are new and it is hard for her to decide.

Claire and Tony derive new set of rules as the manipulative game master can make them lose everything. The two are shoved together once again, but are not sure if they can trust each other. Claire has never been able to resist herself from this man, whereas Tony might be planning on domination once again. This book revolves around hatred and love, old habits and new beginnings, deception and truth. As they proceed with this real life game, old sins start creeping out and new secrets will be disclosed. The game gets much more intense and interesting than ever before.
