From time to time, Heather loves to feature real world events in her books. Long gets her inspiration from everywhere, including a joke, which was shared with her friends, a series of dialogue on T.V, or something that she may see when driving her vehicle.
Some Like it Royal
This is the first book in the Going Royal and this installment; we are introduced to one Alyx Dagma. Apart from living in her car, Alyx Dagma wipes tables so that she can make ends meet. On one day, a good-looking man approaches her and informs her about her royal lineage. However, Alyx is more than convinced that the man has mistaken her for someone else. Apart from Alyx, the author also introduces the reader to one, Daniel Voldakov. Daniel is a self-made billionaire who is more than determined to make connections before he officially expands his software business. The self-made billionaire understands that a person of noble birth is going to be the key to his empire. Thus, Daniel Voldakov is more than sure that he is going to tempt the penniless Alyx to accept his offer and play a role she was born to play. Due to her current financial state, Alyx cannot decline the offer. Thus she willingly accepts her offer.
The author does an excellent job of developing the relationship between the characters in a subtle and natural manner. Despite the fact that it is evidently clear from the start that Daniel is attracted to Alyx, he tries as hard as he could to hide those feelings. On the other hand, Alyx Dagma is a little bit hesitant to give any hope to anything considering everything that is happening in her life. Due to her experiences in the past, Alyx does not believe that anything good can happen to her. Thus, she is a little bit cautious with her feelings towards Daniel. As a character, Alyx was exceedingly interesting and likable. Apart from being self-driven, Alyx loves to commit herself fully to anything that she does whether; she was getting ready for an acting job or getting ready for her role as a princess.
Daniel Volkadov is unquestionably a prince in more than one way. He not only undertakes the various task on behalf of Alyx. Furthermore, he also ensured that she had a constant supply of ice cream, was kind and extremely generous. Apart from the two main characters, Victor was also a fun addition to the book. The author has also done an excellent job of introducing an outstanding cast of supporting characters.
Some like It Scandalous
In this book, we meet up with Armand and Anna who were two college sweethearts. However, the two later came to realize that Armand is indeed a prince and is needed back home after his father is pronounced dead. Anna decided to go with Armand back home. However, she eventually left him in the end. However, what made her leave? From the word go, you are going to love Anna as a character. She is not only smart but also confident, intelligent and exceedingly sexy. However, despite the fact that she knew Armand as a person, she was not aware of Armand’s other side, until he was recalled back home. Anna never liked being alone, hence most of the time she was left feeling scared. Because she is deeply in love with Armand, she has no choice but to know everything about him.
Apart from the main plot, there is also a subplot, of Anna and someone, who was more than keen on hurting her. This, in turn, showed an exceedingly great strength of character, especially how she handled the situation. Despite the twists and turns, Anna never backed down even once. Sebastian, Charlie’s brother, is also another character who you are going to fall in love with. From time to time, he was constantly looking out for his brother even if it eventually backfired. With that being said, this is a Cinderella story despite the fact that it has a happy ending. This installment has real people who are constantly working through real issues such as death attempts and death threats.
Some Like it Deadly
This is the third installment in the Going Royal book series. Just like the previous books, this is an exceedingly passionate romance tale between two skillfully drawn characters which will allow you to sink into a story, which will not only keep you engaged but also highly satisfied. If you have missed the first installment, then you do not necessarily have to worry about it, because the author keeps referencing to the previous storyline from time to time. This book opens up as Richard Prentiss, a lawyer and a best friend to Prince Armand declines the security team that the prince set on him after he was involved in a hit and run situation, which almost claimed his life. Richard does not seem to love the idea of constantly being under observation even if this surveillance was for his good. The prince loves Richard like a brother, and he strongly believes that Richard’s life is still in great danger. Armand does not want to lose Richard since he is among the few people that he can trust.
However, since he does not want to lose Richard as a friend, he pulls back the security detail and instead installs a security detail. Apart from Richard, the author introduces Catherine, who learns that the Prince wants her fiancée transferred to his best buddy. Thus, she is disguised as Richard’s an assistant, which will ensure that she is in proximity with her fiancée as possible especially when he worked for long hours of the day. With that said, this is an excellent read with a superb ending.
