About Pike Logan:
Nephilim ‘Pike’ Logan is an American Agent working for The Task Force, and one of its founding members. The Task Force is a group of elite agents controlled by the National Security Council, and used for urgent and secret missions. It is unknown to most civilians and does not work under the constraints of United States laws. Pike is a fictional character who plays the lead role in the novel series written by Brad Taylor. The series was first introduced in 2011 with One Rough Man. The beginning of this novel describes the gruesome history that Pike had to endure, when his wife and daughter are murdered while he is on a mission with the Task Force, ultimately destroying his career as well. When he hears of their death, Pike becomes an enraged individual and turns to alcoholism. He is then seen as a liability by the Taskforce and discharged.
Pike began his military career by volunteering for becoming a Ranger. From there he went to Special Forces in Okinawa and then Delta Force, where he remained for several years. The rest of the series is about Pike Logan’s return to reality after the tragic murder of his family. He eventually partners up with a young woman by the name of Jennifer Cahill after she saves his life in a bar fight and he later returns the favor by saving hers. Jennifer appears to be in her mid-twenties and is finishing up college. Jennifer and Pike can relate due to their tragic pasts. Jennifer’s uncle was also murdered after discovering an ancient weapon of mass destruction in the Mayan jungle. They eventually form their own company working with the Task Force on some occasions. Pike is depicted as a mastermind of the Taskforce. He lives for taking on complicated missions and being able to actually pull them off.
One Rough Man
In One Rough Man, the first novel of the Pike Logan series, Pike has to locate two men with a powerful weapon in three day’s time when their plan is supposed to commence. After the murder of his wife and daughter while he was on a mission with the Taskforce, and his career heading in a downward spiral, these two men are stepping on the dangerous grounds of a man with nothing to lose.
All Necessary Force
In this exciting sequel, after a mission leaves on Taskforce member dead and another close to it, Pike Logan and Jennifer Cahill are called in to take down two terrorist groups and stop a powerful weapon that ends up on the shores of the United States, the only place where the Task Force is not allowed to operate.
Enemy of Mine
In Enemy of Mine, Pike and Jennifer are assigned to track down a would-be assassin through the Middle East, after an attempt on the life of the American envoy sent to solidify the treaty between Israel and Palestine. Their hands get dirty when they have to deal with a mass of terrorists, killers, and shaky allies to uncover the truth.
The Widow’s Strike
When a rogue state threatens to release a deadly virus after sanctions being placed on their nuclear program, Pike and Jennifer must hunt down a Black Widow, a member of a group of female suicide terrorists, before she releases the Pandemic on the United States.
The Polaris Protocol
Set to be released on January 14, 2014, The Polaris Protocol takes Pike and Jennifer on a journey to save Jennifer’s brother, Jack, after he is kidnapped by the Mexican drug cartel. In addition to rescuing Jack, Pike and Jennifer also have to stop the cartel from using a GPS hack on the United States that could be used to control anything from bank wire transfers to cruise missiles.

About the Author
Brad Taylor, the man behind the Pike Logan series, was born in Okinawa, Japan, when his father was in the service, and was raised in rural Texas. Brad graduated from the University of Texas and was then commissioned as a second lieutenant in the United States Army Infantry. He spent over 21 years in the military, and held many Special Forces positions, including eight years in Delta Force as a commander. His military career took him behind enemy lines all over the world including places like Iraq and Afghanistan, which helped to inspire the five Pike Logan novels that he completed after retiring from service. His experience has given him the ability to give his readers an accurate experience of modern warfare without actually having to be in the middle of it. Although, he cannot tell specifically what he did on his missions, his years in the military have given him the inspiration to create similar storylines for his readers.
Tayor’s education includes a Master’s of Science Degree in Defense Analysis with a concentration in Irregular Warfare from the Naval Postgraduate School. The last position he held was Assistant Professor of Military Science at the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. During his time on this assignment he wrote his first novel, One Rough Man in 2011. He since then has retired from the service to become a fulltime novelist. He also currently serves as a consultant on asymmetric threats for various agencies, that is, when he isn’t writing. Taylor completed his next novel, All Necessary Force, the following year. In 2013 he completed two more novels, Enemy of Mine and The Widow’s Strike. He continues to write with a goal of two books per year. His newest novel, The Polaris Protocol is set to release on January 14, 2014 which is also when his book tour will begin. Taylor does several book signings around the country, especially focusing on military bases and close-by locations. He currently resides with his family in Charleston, South Carolina, which is also where his book tour will begin before taking him to Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and Washington.

Just finished reading End of Days. Great read. As I am a retired submariner – CPO – I thought you should hookup with one of these retired submarine CO’s who could tell you some tales of derring do. Get Pike Logan and his team dropped off from a submarine somewhere in the North Atlantic. Northern Runs were always a favorite of ours when I was in. Retired in ’84 so lots of things have changed. Anyway, I enjoy your books and will keep reading them. Taking the bride to Hall’s Chophouse in Nexton tonight for a day early Valentine’s. May pass on the Seafood Tower.
