Peg Cochran is an American author of fiction. She is the author of several cozy mystery series as well as murder mystery and historical mystery books.

Peg was born and grew up in an area of New Jersey located just outside of N.Y.C. She went to college and once she was done decided that she would like to actually move to New York. Peg relocated there and ended up working and managing an art gallery that had quite a bit of prestige to it as it was owned by Henri Matisse’s son.

Peg worked there in the city for a while. Then her first daughter was born, and she named her Francesca. The author decided that it would be a good idea to get out of the city and moved back to the suburbs of New Jersey along with her new family. It was there that she had her second child, a daughter named Annabelle.

Peg Cochran is the creator and the author of the Gourmet De-Lite series of mystery novels. The series kicked off in 2012 for the first time with the release of the debut novel, which is titled Allergic to Death. The sequel came out shortly after, being published in 2013. It has the ominous title of Steamed to Death! Iced to Death came out the next year and made the series a trilogy.

The Gourmet series focuses around the main character of Gigi Fitzgerald. She is someone that has loved to cook for as long as she can remember, but will she end up in a significant amount of trouble when it appears that people are dying as a result of her recipes? If Martha really likes her food, then she has the ability to shine a spotlight on Gigi’s business. The resulting positive attention could end up doing wonders and even get her a lot of new clients. Her personalized and customized meal plans could end up being in demand from a lot more people and her business could quickly go from doing all right to thriving.

Gigi is hoping that everything goes well, but it appears that things are taking a turn from the worse. That is because Martha never gets the chance to review her work and put it in print. The reviewer was just supposed to ditch some weight, but it appears that she has died on the spot after eating one of the planned meals from Gigi’s service.

It turns out that Martha had a deadly allergy to peanuts, The bad news is that she definitely appears to be eating from one of the signature meals that was cooked by Gigi. Could there be foul play involved? Detective Mertz is a handsome man assigned to the case and he finds that there were peanut oil traces involved in whatever Martha was last eating before she departed for the big restaurant in the sky.

This is horrible news as of course it makes Gigi look incredibly guilty. She is one of the main suspects in this case and will have to do everything that she can to prove her innocence if she wants to protect her business and also keep herself out of jail. Gigi knows that she didn’t put the oil in the meal, but now she is going to have to figure out who did it before it is too late.
