The Beast in Him

The Beast in Him is the third book in the Pride Series. In this second installment we are introduced to Jessica Ward and Bobby Ray Smith. Jessica has always had a crush on Bobby ever since there childhood days. A few years later, Jessica left and several years later she comes back to find out that Bobby is not the only Alpha in his pack but also the CEO of a well-established company. On the other hand, Jess is also not the little girl that Bobby used to know. It is now time for Jess to show Bobby that she is all grown up.

Bobby has now began to settle down with a part of the Smith Pack which had followed him all the way from Manhattan. Additionally, he also has his new security business that is slowly gaining grounds and from the look of things it’s going to be a very successful business. On one night, Bobby discovers that Jess has not only grown up but also has ended up becoming a very beautiful woman. The very same night, the romance between Jessica and Bobby begins.

Apart from their everyday worry of their business, now Jessica and Bobby have the welfare of their packs to not only worry about but also keep safe. Just as they are beginning to settle in and their packs have begun to accept them, some drastic happens which could offset the peace that has existed between the respective packs for a very long time. Additionally, it could also risk any chances that Bobby and Jess had of becoming lovers or mates.

After the incidence it is up to the two to try and overcome the threat and maintain the peace between the two packs. What does a girl opt to do when she feels it is the right time to be taken by a spouse. After arranging how they could meet up, Jess was more than determined to show Bobby how great they could be together. However, Bobby was not ready for a serious relationship nor to settle down, but that was until he bumped into Jess. At that time and moment, Bobby changed his mind and he became more than determined to have her as his mate. But why is she giving Bobby stress?

When it comes to subtle humor nobody does it better than Ms. Laurentson. Jessica knows what she truly wants and how she wants it. On the other hand, Bobby knows what he truly wants but cannot just figure out a way how to get it. Filled with hot nights, semi insane dogs and fun antics, there is no way any reader is going to miss this book.

The Mane Attraction

A Majority of Shelly Laurenston’s series are about shape shifters, lions, wolves and lions, and this book is no different. The Mane Attraction is the third book in the Pride series. After a hefty reward has been issued for his death, lion shifter and undercover cop, Mitch is critically injured by a bullet which was intended to kill him. The assassination attempt comes right before he gives his testimony which was going to take down an extremely powerful crime boss.

Apart from Mitch, the author also introduces Sissy Mae Smith. After surviving an assassination attempt, Sissy steps in to protect Mitch from those people who are after his life. Sissy decides to take Mitch in the one place where she can hide him until he can recover completely. She decides to take Mitch home in Smith town. As Mitch begins to recover, they begin to see each other in different ways. Hence, as time goes by they take their relationship to a whole new level. As the plot develops, they begin sharing each other’s lives.

Eventually Mitch’s moves permanently to Sissy’s hometown and the boundaries begin to change. With that being said, is there any realistic future for the two? Is Mitch going to be kept safe and away from danger? If you are a fan of Shelly Laurenston, then you must know by now that all her works are not only crazy but also filled with crazy family relationships. Like most of her previous books, the Mane attraction was an exceedingly excellent read.

Beast Behaving Badly

Beast Behaving Badly is the fifth book in the Pride series by Shelly Laurentson. Like all of her previous books, this book is an absolutely excellent read. It is full of some awesome dialogue and snarky humor which is very typical for most of her books. In this installment, we are introduced to one Blayne Thorpe who happens to be a shape shifter, roll derby player and a plumber. He is the best friend to one Gwen O’neil who was the main character in the previous installment. Apart from Thorpe, we are also introduced to Bo, who is also a hybrid shifter.

Unlike Thorpe, O’neil is a hockey player and goes by the nickname the Maurader. Gwen, saw him for the first time 10 years ago. She was not keen on catching the interest of such an intimidating player but rather catch it before vanishing away. Since he has now joined the Carnivores, she always catches one of his games. Additionally, he always seems like he has never forgotten her. The attraction between the two is a great example of the saying, opposite attracts. Thorpe, is highly scheduled, introverted and organised hulk.

On the other hand, Gwen is an easy going person, zany and very cute. The main storyline is a continuation of the previous installment. Someone had been kidnapping shapeshisfters with the main aim of using them in an illegal dog fight.

Conclusion

If you are a fan of paranormal novels and haven’t read any of Laurenston books, then make a point of reading the Pride series and you won’t be disappointed.

   Please give us another book in the Call of Crow series. I have reread them so much I can quote 😂.
