His heritage as half elf is resented by the humans and the elves of the kingdom of Loyna alike. People look forward to hope and promise when trouble seemed to be brewing underneath. Because of the evil remnants of the Verrakaien magelords being at large, Mikeli cannot sit quietly on his throne. Kieri seems to be hounded by everyone to get married and provide an heir to the kingdom, which does not seem to be a major concern for him. Soon, a strange rift develops between him, his grandmother, and the co-ruler, the queen of the immortal elves called as the Lady. Kieri also faces problems from an ex-pirate known as Alured, who tries to seize his throne as well as Mikeli’s for himself. In the meantime, the kingdom of Pargun in the north gets invaded. After this, the two kings get divided as the war seems to erupt from the inside as well as the outside. The alliances and old friendship bonds seem to be tested like never before as everything seems to get changed after a shocking discovery.
