We find that the Queen attempted to welcome Diana into the royal family and that Di just failed to grasp the hand of friendship.

From the princess herself we hear about what went on between Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince Charles. And we get a glimpse so much more about the inner workings of the extended royal family.

Factual and entertaining, this book stands apart and above the often inaccurate accounts published about Princess Diana. Ingrid reveals for the very first time the real relationship between these two important women of the 20th century.

“My Husband and I” is a non-fiction book that was released in 2017. A young Princess Elizabeth met and fell in love with the dashing Naval Lieutenant Prince Philip of Denmark and Greece, it was never without its problems. The romance between the young princess and the sailor prince brought this splash of color to this nation still in the grip of post-war austerity.

They got married in November of 1947 in Westminster Abbey, there were 3,000 guests, which included seven queens and six kings. Within just five years, as Queen Elizabeth II, she’d ascend the throne and later become crowned in front of millions of people that watched through the new medium of television.

Throughout her record breaking reign, she relied on the formidable partnership that she had made with her consort. Now, after more than 70 years of marriage, Ingrid Seward, an acclaimed royal biographer, sheds some new light on their relationship and the impact that it had on both their family as well as on the nation at large.

In this book, you learn the challenges that Prince Philip faced while he learned how to play second fiddle to the Queen in all of their public engagements, however we also get a revealing insight into just how their relationship operates behind closed doors.

Through it all, their relationship endured and provided a model of constancy to inspire those around them.

“Prince Philip Revealed: A Man of His Century” is a non-fiction book that was released in 2021. Learn the fascinating full tale of Prince Philip, one of the most elusive, important, and intriguing royals.

The son of Danish and Greek royalty, consort to the queen, and the grandpa to Princes William and Harry, Prince Philip was right at the heart of the royal family for decades, but still he remained an enigma to so many.

Ingrid brings her decades of experience covering the royal family to this biography of Queen Elizabeth II’s husband, dad, and grandpa, and great-grandpa of the next three kings of England. From his early childhood spent in Paris among aristocrats and his mom’s fight with schizophrenia to his military service during the Second World War and 1947 marriage to Elizabeth, Ingrid chronicles his life and reveals his many faces, as a philanderer, dad, statesman, and philanthropist.

Even though it took years for Philip to finally find his place in a royal court which initially distrust him, he remained one of the most powerful, complex, yet confounding members of Britain’s royal family, right up until his death in April of 2021.

Eye-opening, entertaining, and informative, this gets right to the heart of his multi-faceted character and his vital role in shaping the monarchy during the 21st century.

“My Mother and I” is a non-fiction book that was released in 2024. The story of the actual relationship between King Charles III and his mom.

The relationship between the late Monarch and her son, who is the King, has long been a topic of fascination. An heir’s upbringing is particularly important and places an extra burden on top of all of the cares that come with motherhood. The demands that get placed on the monarch are unique and there was nobody better placed to know this than the late Queen. She knew that not only must they be figureheads, however they also have to be seen to care for others less fortunate than themselves. They’re also expected to uphold family values. Princess Elizabeth made it a point of maternal honor to attempt and build her routine around her young son as she did her duty. When she became the Queen, it was a much more delicate balance, however one that she eventually learnt to sustain.

Unlike his more self-contained mom, who would always put her duty above personal happiness, King Charles needed support and love in order to function properly. This is the story of how Charles was moulded and shaped by his heritage. His mom was the woman that he always loved yet could never be close to. As Queen she held onto the Pandora’s box of the crown and all that he could do was just wait and learn. In his mom’s old age, he finally got the respect and affection from her that he had craved for so long.

This book documents his life through many personal anecdotes from his friends and family, from the moment that the guns saluted his birth up to the day that he was officially declared the King at his Coronation.
