Lisa Rayne is a published American author whose work has won awards.

She loves all things to do with books as well as music, movies, and sports. She reads all of the time and the only thing in life that she enjoys more than sitting down and curling up with a good book is sitting down and writing one.

She was able to earn a Top 10 Finalist placement in the global Harlequin So You Think You Can Write contest thanks to her first manuscript. She has been the recipient of an EMMA Award four times and counting.

Lisa’s favorite coffee to enjoy is a white chocolate mocha latte. She admits that her favorite holiday out of all of them is Christmas!

Before she was an author, she attended college and graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Comparative Literature. She then went on to get a law degree. Lisa practiced intellectual property, entertainment, and media law for years. She then decided that she wanted to come up with some creative works of her own instead of just working to represent other people who did.

Lisa loves writing romantic fiction and enjoys penning characters that are smart and sexy that come from all types of backgrounds, origins, and cultures. She began writing contemporary romance and ended up trying out sports romance as a genre, which did well and debuted on not one but two different bestseller lists on Amazon.

The author has two daughters and resides in the Midwest. She loves to try something new and is looking forward to putting her own spin on different genres, such as historical romance. She says that she really loves telling love stories about heroes and heroines while delivering various juicy additional layers, such as love scenes, tension, family drama, action and adventure– you name it, Lisa Rayne is including it!

Lisa likes that writing is able to help her provide that balance of being creative with also being more professional, leaning into her intellectual property lawyer alter ego or her business coaching alter ego. Her corporate side comes together with her romantic muse to help her pursue her other passions.

She loves to write and advocate or even coach others on business. When she is not busy doing that, Lisa says that she likes to support her daughters, cheer for her team the Kansas City Chiefs, watch various planner flip-through videos on YouTube, and try to strategize about how she might be able to get one of her stories adapted into a movie that ultimately stars The Rock.
