“To Die For” is the first novel in the “Tudor Ladies in Waiting” series and was released in 2011. Could that which is worth dying for be the same stuff that exactly makes life worth living for? After Anne Boleyn catches King Henry VIII’s eye, Meg Wyatt (her dearest friend) accompanies her to the thrilling court of Tudor England. However while Henry and Anne’s affections grow, Meg is facing heartbreak; since the man that she loves commits himself to God instead of to her. Meg makes a vow of her own: to ensure Anne’s well being while they navigate the intricate web of politics and power.

While the court is crawling with climbers, each of the women find themselves getting caught up in a world that’s filled with betrayal, ambition, and danger, just with each other to rely on. Anne falls out of favor and gets sentenced to die, and Meg is expecting a bleak future. There’s a glimmer of hope sparks from an unexpected source, which reignites a long-held ember within her heart. Fanning this into flame, comes at quite a cost, however.

A masterful story of unquenchable love and steadfast friendship set in Henry VIII’s thrilling court. It plunges the reader into Anne Boleyn’s life through the eyes of Meg Wyatt, her best friend.

“The Secret Keeper” is the second novel in the “Tudor Ladies in Waiting” series and was released in 2012. What she saw in secret, she might not tell. Sir Thomas Seymour (the brother of late Queen Jane) comes back home in Wiltshire and meets Juliana St. John (daughter of his late friend) by chance, and she is reading as a lector at the local church. He rapidly sees that she’d fit into the household of the woman that he loves and wants to please most, Kateryn Parr. Juliana’s mom agrees to have her placed with Parr for just a season, and Juliana goes, hesitantly. For she’s keeping a secret.

Quickly, Juliana finds a welcoming household and a most unexpected and deep love. Court’s a dangerous place, however, while enemies of Henry’s devout sixth queen raise lethal stakes for any and all reformers, including Kateryn Parr, the queen, herself. Juliana has got the gift of prophetic dreams and can “see” horrible events being visited on the highborn. Should her prophetic gift get discovered, she’ll face trial for either heresy or even worse: witchcraft.

The risks really couldn’t be higher while Juliana has to pick between her honor and love, personal fulfillment and sacrifice. Ultimately her course is pushed onward by this one last kept secret, one which undoes everything she believed she knew.

Threading historical fact through gripping fiction, Sandra creates a rich tapestry of a woman’s fight to keep those she loves safe from harm.

“Mist of Midnight” is the first novel in the “Victorian Romantic Suspense” series and was released in 2015. What’ll be uncovered once the fog clears?

Rebecca Ravenshaw, the daughter of missionaries, spent much of her life in India. After the death of her family in the Indian Uprising of 1857, she returns to claim her family estate in Hampshire, England. People are pretty surprised to see her, but they’re also highly suspicious. Less than a year prior, this imposter showed up with an Indian servant and assumed not just her name but her income and home as well.

This pretender died within merely months of her appearance and was buried hastily at midnight. The locals believe that possibly Rebecca is the actual imposter. Her dad’s investments and her home reverted to some distant relative, the darkly charming Captain Luke Whitfield, who soon took over.

Rebecca, against her best intentions, fell in love with Whitfield, forcing her to question his motives, does he want her or does he want Headbourne House? If Luke is just after the property, like everybody believes, she might suffer a similar fate as that of the first “Rebecca”.

This is a captivating romance set against a backdrop of danger and intrigue, and is sure to leave your breathless.

“Bride of a Distant Isle” is the second novel in the “Victorian Romantic Suspense” series and was released in 2016. She’s got everything to gain and everything to lose, including her life.

Miss Annabel Ashton, who teaches at the Victorian-era Rogers School for Young Ladies, goes to visit Highcliffe Hall at Milford-on-Sea, her family home. She believes that her stay is going to be a short one however quickly discovers that she’ll not be returning back to the safety of the school. Instead, she stays at Highcliffe, now at the mercy of Edward Everedge, her cousin.

Annabel protests, but she has little agency, since she is the illegitimate daughter of this woman that died in an insane asylum. Edward is running out of money so he puts Highcliffe up for sale in order to avoid financial ruin. He insists that she get married, promising her to this frightening and sinister man. However while the house is getting packed up, it starts revealing some disquieting secrets. Portraits, jewelry, and artifacts mysteriously show up, suggesting that Annabel might just be the real heir of Highcliffe.

She’s just got a few months to prove her legitimacy, possibly with some assistance from the troubled yet handsome Maltese Captain Dell’Acqua, who might not actually have her best interests at heart in the end.

Then, this final, most ominous barrier to her existence and inheritance shows up: a situation that neither she nor anybody else could’ve possibly anticipated. Could she regain her property and life, and trust her heart, before it’s too late?
