She goes by the pronouns of she/her. She is a best-selling author who has reached the tops of the charts for publications such as the Globe & Mail and USA Today. She has written several novels using her pen name of Catherine McKenzie and one under her pen name of Catherine Mack.

Collectively, she has sold millions of copies of her books all over the world. They have been so successful with readers that they have been translated into many different languages that extend to Polish, Portuguese, German, and French.

Her debut fictional novel under the pen name of Catherine Mack is titled Every Time I Go on Vacation, Someone Dies. There will be more books joining this book in The Vacation Mysteries series. The television rights for the series were sold in a big auction for Fox TV, who intends to develop the story into a series and Mack is attached to write the pilot script.

She is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada. She likes to divide her time between residing in Canada and hanging out in America in various warmer locations.

Her debut novel has received great reviews from a number of places, including the Globe & Mail, the New York Times, Publisher’s Weekly, Library Journal (who also gave it a starred review and named it their Mystery Pick of the Month). It was also picked to be one of the Most Anticipated Mystery & Thrillers of 2024 by Goodreads. The book also received a great review from Booklist, who called the book ‘funny and suspenseful’. It was also picked as one of the Best Canadian Crime Fiction Novels of 2023.
