Alexandra Vasti is a literature professor from Britain who has been a huge fan of historical romance since she was eleven years old.

She comes from a long line of women in the Vasti family who loved to read romance and as such, she still loves to read novels by Judith McNaught and Laura Kinsale.

She moved to New York City as an adult and got her Columbia University doctorate. She would then move to New Orleans where she now lives with her very noisy and large family.
She works as a university professor and does most of her writing at night. Nonetheless, Vasti still finds time to raise a bunch of feral kitties and her three kids too.

When she is not writing her novels, she can be found on her Facebook Book Club, TikTok, or Instagram. She also loves hearing from her readers and usually communicates with them through her newsletter.
She published “Ne’er Duke Well” her debut novel in 2024 and now has several works of fiction to her name.

As for her writing, Alexandra Vasti is quite the plotter and she usually spends hours doing the research for her novels. She usually has an outline that can run up to a hundred pages in addition to a bunch of perpetually open tabs, and dozens of brainstorming documents.
Since she is an English professor, she loves reading and researching wacky and wild nineteenth-century books. As such, she is a huge fan of the author Jane Austen and she is the one novelist she would love to meet, especially if she is an Austen who is up to date with modern issues.

According to Vasti, Jane Austen would be an author who would have a Twitter account that eviscerates politicians while writing a bunch of excellent books.

If she were to have dinner with the author, she would awkwardly profess her love and make her a great guacamole. She currently works with Bookends as her agent, as she was drawn by the extraordinary diversity and talent the organization represents.

“In Which Margo Halifax Earns Her Shocking Reputation” by Alexandra Vasti is a novel that tells the story of the Halifax Hellions. They are known for being some of the English capital’s most outrageous and scandalous women.
Ever since they debuted an event at which they had done some outrageous things, they have developed quite the reputation.

Things turn interesting when Matilda elopes with an aristocrat who is known for being a very dangerous man and Margo will have to stop her sister before the marriage turns permanent.

Margo teams up with her brother’s best friend as Henry Mortimer the starchy solicitor is the only man who can get them to Scotland on time. While he seems like he has it all together, he has one secret – he has been in love with Margo for years.
When she comes to him asking for help, he cannot turn her down as there is nothing he would love more than spending one week with Margo in a carriage to Scotland.

On the road, there is just about everything from cave-ins to crashes that push Margo into his arms at the most unexpected times. But there is something unstoppable that could drag Margo away from Henry and he does not know how to stop it.

Alexandra Vasti’s “In Which Matilda Halifax Learns the Value of Restraint” is a brilliant work that continues to follow Matilda and her twin sister.

For more than half a dozen years, Matilda and her sister have been known for their scandals all over London. Things get out of hand when Matilda puts the erotic pictures of Lord Ashford on the market.

Lord Ashford knows all about notoriety as he was once accused of killing his wife and has since become a recluse, determined to protect Bea his adolescent sister. But when he sees himself on a salacious pamphlet, he knows he is right back in the public consciousness.
His life is upended even as Bea’s painting teacher leaves and the only person he can think of to replace her is Matilda. Scandal is one thing he wants to keep so far from himself but he just cannot help himself with Matilda.

On her part, she is determined to make things right only to find herself eloping with Christian. But on their way to Northumberland, she cannot help but notice Christian’s scowl but this does not hide the scorching passion, nor the wound he carries.
She becomes determined to persuade him that love might be just what he needs to get things right in his life, even if she may upend his entire life by coming into it.

Alexandra Vasti’s “In Which Winnie Halifax Is Utterly Ruined” is a work that follows the life and times of Winifred Wallace.

She told one very tiny lie as she pretended to be married to Mr. Spencer Halifax so that she could make her name as a sheep farmer.

She proceeded to forge the marriage documents to Halifax but a decade later, the lie is catching up with her. On her doorstep is a distressingly attractive and very real earl.

The man intends to set a good example for his sisters and has been trying to be the sensible and steady earl ever since the death of his father and getting with a dodgy sheep farmer will not be good for his reputation.

He is drawn in by Winnie’s fierce self-reliance and unfettered passion but is kept out by her closely guarded secrets. When the man asks her to accompany him so that they can get out of their inconvenient entanglement, she is horrified.

She still remembers that London is the palace where he mother used to steal luxurious necklaces from infatuated noblemen. However, she thinks she has the chance to return the stolen jewelry but thinks she can go with Spencer and return the jewelry on the sly.
But returning the jewelry is not as easy as she believed as footmen tryst in the most inconvenient spaces and monkeys commit theft.

Winnie realizes the only way forward is to tell Spencer her secrets, even if that would threaten their fake marriage and the fledgling relationship they have built.
