Jennifer Marie Thorne is an American best-selling author. She has reached the tops of the charts in USA Today. She is great at writing books intended both for young readers and adults.

Jennifer writes from a Cotswold cottage from the nineteenth century located in Minchinhampton, a medieval market town. She is married and shares her life with her husband, their two songs together, and many different animals.

Jenn was born in Tennessee in a small town. Growing up, she would go from one of her parent’s homes to the other’s, and always had books around to keep her company. Then she decided as a teen to come back to New York so that she could go to NYU and study drama.

She had always wanted to act and had it as a dream for most of her life. But along the way, Jenn found out that she liked writing performance vehicles for friends than acting in them personally. When she moved to the city of Los Angeles, she took a quick detour into writing and never turned back.

Jenn debuted her publication The Wrong Side of Right with her pen name of Jenn Marie Thorne. This was a contemporary novel set in the presidential politics world. Two more young adult novels came after, The Inside of Out and Night Music. She also released Construction Zoo, a picture book that was inspired by having playtime with her two sons.

She has found her footing in England as an expatriate in the hills of Minchinhampton along with all of the cows. When the pandemic happened, she wrote Lute. It was her first book for adult reader and her first horror story.

Lute is the first book for adult readers from Jennifer Marie Thorne. This was a 2022 novel that is a horror story that revolves around themes of duty, community, and love. If you have been looking for an intriguing new novel to try out, give this one a try!

Lute is a beautiful island, but it also has a strange pattern to it. Every seventh summer, a total of summer people end up dying. It’s never more than that and it is never less than that.

Lute and the people that live there seem to have it all. They always have good health, good weather, and good fortune. The lives that they lead are great, and the war that goes on around them doesn’t seem to touch them. Every seven years, when the day comes for the tithe, the gift that the island gives to them all is honored.

Nina Treadway has not experienced The Day before. She was born in Florida, but it was through marrying Lord Treadway that she became a lady. For a long time, his family protected the island. While she has heard of The Day, she has never experienced it for herself.

She has heard of all the tragedies that have happened with it and the lives that have been lost along the way, but it’s too outlandish and superstitious to believe. She thought that it was just the type of story that was told to scare newcomers from coming too close to the island. It’s something that is used to make the young kids behave.

But when the Day begins, all bets are off. Nina quickly sees that this is the real deal. It’s a day where the reckoning comes, but it also seems like a day where the community comes together, uniting in strength and survival.

When The Day is concluded, Nina will be forever changed, as will Lute. Read this book to find out what happens!

Diavola is the second book to come out from Jennifer Marie Thorne for adult readers. This is a gothic read that is funny and explores family dynamics and more in this take on the classic haunted house story. This explores belonging, loneliness, and the bonds of family myth.

Anna has always had her own set of rules for the annual Pace family vacations, where the goal is to step lightly and to survive.

Everything isn’t too easy when she’s pretty much the person in the family that doesn’t really fit in. Benny is her twin brother, and he’s always down to go with the flow. Nicole is her older sister that is accustomed to her husband and kids falling in line, and sometimes Anna will get snapped at just for asking a question.

Plus the mom is questioning everything she’s chosen in her life and the dad is always telling everyone that he’s the one paying for the vacation but also wants some quiet and peace.

This is a quiet Monteperso villa that seems like a great place to go through being together as a family. But things quickly start going south and they begin hearing weird noises at night, being warned by the villagers, and the past of t he villa which may be even darker than they could have imagined. Will they be able to get through this intact? Read this book to find out!
