A.R. Kennedy is an American published author.

A.R. is the first to admit that she has a great life, and that is in part thanks to her two dogs! She shares her home in Long Beach, New York with her little pups and puts in the time to work hard for them so that she can put the food out on the floor for them, as they say.

Kennedy even has a t-shirt that states as much, saying that she works so her dog can have a better life. She loves to travel and is avidly going to different places all of the time. You don’t have to worry because while she is busy traveling, her parents are able to take some time with the puppies and dote on them even more than the author does.

A.R. loves to write and what she writes often combines her love for animals, travel, and the journey that we all go on in order to find out who we really are. She is the author of the Nathan Micccoli Mystery series and the Traveler Cozy Mystery series of novels.

Gone… But Not Missed is the first book in the Nathan Miccoli series of fictional novels by A.R. Kennedy. The story first came out for readers to enjoy in 2013.

Main character Lillian Brannon finds out that she has woken somewhere that looks authentic, but seems to be a fake. It’s Valentine’s Day, and she finds herself in what appears to be an identical copy of her bedroom. She thinks that someone has replicated it, but as far as she can tell Laude is the only thing that is authentic! While it’s great to have her dog there, she soon finds out that her theory is correct. She has been kidnapped and is living in the basement apartment that has been transformed into the exact same bedroom that she sleeps in.

There she stays as a captive until something else happens to disrupt this new situation Lillian finds herself in. Once a week she goes upstairs to have a simple dinner where nothing toward happens. Lillian is hoping that the nice treatment of her captor endures and does not transform into something terrible. She is trying to figure out why no one has come to find her at this point as well.

Meanwhile, the reader joins the story of New York Police Officer Nathan. He’s heard about Lillian going missing and the disappearance intrigues him. He doesn’t understand why a young woman such as herself would be missing for two entire weeks before someone thinks to file a missing persons report about it to try and get her back.

Thinking about this ends up pulling him into the case more and thinking about it. Unable to get the case out of his mind, Nathan starts pursuing it. The local police think that Lillian has simply run away from a life that was not serving her. But her best friend believes otherwise, and when Nathan talks to her, he is convinced by her that the local police are wrong.

Nathan doesn’t have any jurisdiction over this case and no witnesses, as well as no resources to figure out this case. But he’s not going to let something like that stop him. Seeing those photos of Lillian with her bright green eyes and her smile makes him want to find her more than anything. He digs into the case with a new obsession, hoping to find something out that leads to more clues or a way to find the missing girl.

He has not only personal information about Lillian but also a copy of her keys as well. He starts looking for clues that could end up leading the police officer to her, looking in her home for what starts as hours and turns into days. Will he be able to track down the missing girl and make sure that she ends up safe and sound? Read the first book in the Nathan Miccoli Mystery series to find out!

Gone But Not Goodbye is the second book in the Nathan Miccoli series of novels by A.R. Kennedy. The story of Lillian (or Lily for short) and Nathan continues in this fascinating sequel!

When the first book concluded, readers were leaving behind Nathan and Lily physically together in Long Beach on the boardwalk. But it’s not more than a few weeks later that they are apart hundreds of miles once more. They’re also dealing with their relationship as the two of them have differing views.

Lily is still not over the kidnapping as the ordeal continues to haunt her. She is constantly thinking of her kidnapper and having flashbacks to what happens. Meanwhile, police officer Nathan has to deal with a partner who has no idea what he is doing and may end up taking down his own career working for the NYPD as a detective.

Nathan’s detective career is just starting out, and he cannot afford to have it end like this. Can he figure out why the family of his partner will not stop pestering him? Can he figure out the last robbery case that he might ever get?

Nathan wants to focus on the case and his career, but then there’s also the matter of Lily. She continues to be the largest mystery looming in his life, and he just wants to do whatever it takes in order to be closer to her. The police officer would do whatever it takes to make their relationship work and really thinks that the two of them could have something special.

Is Nathan just living with his head in the clouds hoping that Lily ends up seeing the value of what they have together? Can their love for one another overcome the very real obstacles that exist between the two of them? Read the second book in this series to find out what happens between the pair and whether their relationship and their willpower will help them overcome whatever is in their way!
