Beth Kendrick is a women’s fiction and young adult romance novelist from Arizona. She published her debut novel “My Favorite Mistake” in 2004 and has never looked back since.

She would push on from there to write even more novels and in 2006, she published “Newlyweds” the single-standing novel that was so successful that it was made into an original movie on the Hallmark Channel.
As for her origins, she is a middle child who grew up in New England before she went to college in the Midwest and got her psychology doctorate in a grad school in California.

After surviving too many winters in Minnesota, she moved to Arizona where she now lives and writes her blockbuster novels. She has said that she is one of those people who reads everything she can get her hands on from comic books to the classics.
Kendrick does not drink coffee since he is high-strung enough without adding caffeine into the mix.

The story of how she became a novelist was very interesting. Kendrick Beth had just begun dating the man who would become her husband and he invited her to be his plus-one at a family wedding.

Since she was then a commitment-shy young woman, she wanted to decline until she heard that the bride was a successful novelist. The second she heard that, she knew there was no way she was missing that wedding as she had always dreamed of becoming an author.

However, she had never met anyone who had beaten the massive odds and became a big-time publisher. Once, the wedding was done, she sidled up to the bar and waited until the bride and her friends most of whom were authors started drinking the good champagne.

It was then that she started peppering them with endless questions about getting an agent, editing, and writing. Thankfully, the bride and her friends were encouraging, funny, and very generous with their advice and time, and the next thing she knew, she had joined a critique group.

Working with the group, she penned her manuscript that would eventually become “My Favorite Mistake” her debut novel.

Once Kendrick Beth was done writing her manuscript, she found an agent and began waiting for the call.

One Tuesday evening, she got a call late in the evening while she was still living in her squalid grad school apartment with some great news. She told her that an editor at Pocket was interested in buying the rights to her manuscript and that she would get the final offer the following day.

While any other person would throw up in a wastebasket, shed a tear, or whoop for joy, she was more worried that the editor would change her mind overnight, get fired, or get hit by the bus before signing her deal.

Beth currently makes her home in Arizona in a very beautiful fixer-upper house that she and her husband got in a moment of neurotic confidence.

At that time, they believed that they would have a lot of fun with the DIY renovations only to discover that replacing baseboard that has been painted more than a dozen times is not as easy as the commercials would have you believe.

She loves hearing from readers and usually loves to connect with them through email even though she offers the caveat that she may not answer your questions immediately when she is on the road, on a deadline, or on the ragged edge of sanity.

Beth Kendrick’s novel “Cure for the Common Breakup” is a novel set in a tiny seaside town known as “Black Dog Bay.” The small town in Delaware is known as just the place to bounce back from heartache, as it offers a haven for those who suddenly find themselves single.
Summer Benson is a flight attendant who never stays in one place and does not stay with the same man for too long. She was about to break the second rule by accepting a marriage proposal from her boyfriend only for disaster to strike upending her entire world.
Summer is forced to head to Black Dog Bay where she is welcomed with open arms. Even the town’s richest, oldest, and meanest resident Hattie Huntington likes her enough and offers her employment.

She loves the town but there is the stoic, and rugged mayor Dutch Jansen who is nothing like her type but she slowly finds herself falling for him. Following a life of traveling the world, she has finally found a place she can call home but Hattie has a hidden agenda and old scores to settle.

The only choices are to stay in “Black Dog Bay” with her loved ones which could cost them everything or leave it all behind.

Beth Kendrick’s novel “New Uses for Old Boyfriends” tells the story of Lila Alders who grew up in privilege and then got married into money which meant that she knows the good life.

But then her happily ever after comes to a surprising end and she has to run to the tiny seaside town of “Black Dog Bay” where she had grown up.

She could not have been more desperate for a safe haven but it does seem that her life has drastically changed over just a decade. Her family’s fortune is gone even if her mother is still delusional and thinks they are rich.
It is not up to Lila to take care of her mother and her home even though she can hardly take care of herself. She is one of Black Dog Bay’s former golden girls but she is struggling to reinvent herself, even as she sets up a vintage clothing shop.
It is not long before she starts to find a new purpose for outdated dresses and makes an attempt to reunite with her former boyfriend.

She may have lost everything she believed she needed but in “Black Dog Bay,” she found someone or something that she desperately wants. The boy she hardly noticed has become a man she cannot get out of her mind and she may just have a second chance at love.

Kendrick Beth’s “Put a Ring On It” sends us back to “Black Dog Bay” the seashore town in Delaware where one woman will have to make some difficult choices.

Brighton Smith has never been one to do outrageous things since she is an insurance actuary whose job is to avoid bad investments and risk. However, when her fiance calls and says he got married on a whim, she snaps just like anyone would.
Heading to a local bar, she meets the rich, hot, and way out of her league Jake Sorensen who gets her a drink. When it turns midnight, she kisses the man and at dawn, they get married at a drive-through chapel.

Brighton is certain that she made a bad bet with Jake but she is past caring since she is having fun after a lifetime of playing it safe. But it is not long before the whirlwind romance makes way to reality as she learns why her husband married her.
Will she take a leap of faith and stay with the man or cut her losses with the odds stacked against them.
