She loves to come with heroes and says that she comes up with the ‘most enchanting heroes’ that a girl could dream of. When inside of the world of one of her books, the author says that she finds that it’s tough to separate fact from fiction. It’s like having another world that the reader can escape to.

She also likes to write everything from short to long pieces of fiction. Grey pens stories that will keep readers busy no matter what they are doing, like on their lunch break, and writes longer stories that will keep you occupied and help you to get through the day.

Grey is a black woman that has had black experiences and is taking to the page to write down all of the love that she has witnessed, imagined, or heard of, and providing beautiful black love to her audience. She likes to play make-believe for a living and hopes that her readers enjoy the stories from the beginning to the very end!

Syx and the City is the first novel in the Situationships novels by Grey Huffington. The debut was first released in 2017.

Main character Syx Rouge has a lot of aspirations. She would like to be a fashion illustrator and make her designs come to life. She has a job working in a slightly different field at the moment, serving as an assistant to the vocalist Amiyah Mallard, who is famous all around the world.

The chances that she would go through with having a steamy and pleasurable night with a man such as Trough were not high. But you can never tell what is going to happen when chaos is in the mix, and a change of events in one night ends up turning the odds of this hookup happening completely in her favor.

Syx is sexy and has never had a problem rolling with the changes, but gets pretty distressed when she finds out that there are some snags in her plans for New Years. She’s had them planned out for a while now, and it all started when Sevyn moved to New York City. Her older sister had finally overcome her fears and moved to the city and now Syx was going to join her there living it up with drinks, music, people and more in the Big Apple as they counted down to the new year. It was going to be perfect in every way.

Now things have changed as Syx missed the last flight that is taking off for the city. That was her only shot at having the great night that she had strategically planned out, and it was gone. Now she’s in Atlanta, Georgia, stranded as she tries to figure out what’s next.

But as she goes home after finding out that the flight is gone, Amiyah Mallard makes her husband give her assistant a ride on his private plane. It’s a strange situation, but Syx wants to get to the big city so badly that she doesn’t really mind.

Then a strange series of events means that Syx is left on New Year’s Day to wake up and piece together what happened the night before. She’s in a strange place on a cozy mattress and wrapped up in Italian sheets that she is sharing with… Trough Mallard. The life partner of her boss.

Things are very bad and not looking good at all. In normal circumstances Syx would have never have done anything, but she doesn’t know what to make of what has happened. Is she going to be able to keep her job after this? Will her boss find out and make her life a living nightmare? Anything is possible, and Syx is about to find out that her desire to ring in the new year in the city may just end up resulting in a fling and a whole new world of consequences she never saw coming.
