Jason Neal is a true crime bestselling author from Hawaii. He is best known as the author of the “Disturbing True Crime Stories” series of novels.
The author grew up in Seattle during the 1980s and it was at this time that he would become fascinated with true crime stories.

His interest in the genre came from the “Green River Killer” who had wreaked havoc killing several people very close to the suburb where he lived.

Over several years he read everything he could find on serial killers and true crime. He always wanted to become an author but for decades he did nothing about it.
As he was approaching 50 he began to assemble stories of the many cases which had so fascinated him through the years.

Jason began his writing career in 1989 when he first worked as a publisher in the music industry. But it was not until 2019 that he published his first true crime collection which would become a bestseller.

While many stories in the news and TV crime shows usually gloss over the particularly horrible parts, this will not leave out anything.

These are novels that include the case of some of the worst people to ever walk the Earth such as Robert Napper, Mark Twitchell, Lester Jones, Howard Elkins, and Albert Johnson Walker.

Some of the stories include a homeowner who was cleaning out the crawl space beneath his home when he stumbled upon a fifty-five-gallon barrel which is key to unlocking a three-decade-old murder.
There is the case of the young man who became so obsessed with “Dexter,” the TV show, that he began luring unsuspecting victims to a kill room and then kept a meticulous diary of his many kills.
One of the more interesting ones is the killing of a young and beautiful mother in a London Park during the day with her two-year-old son, the only witness to the crime.
Police would then spend several years trying to arrest the wrong man while the man they need to catch commits another murder.

Just like in the other novels, Jason Neal does not hold back as he showcases the horror and brutality of true crimes committed. Regardless of how gruesome a crime may be he provides an accurate and clear report with no glossing over the facts.
He provides a real picture of just how demented some killers can be which is something that TV documentaries and TV shows may sometimes fail to capture.
