Susanne O’Leary is a bestselling romantic fiction author with more than twenty novels to her name.,

The author was born in Sweden but at some point, she met an Irish diplomat which meant she would go on to live all over the world.
O’Leary published “Diplomatic Incidents” her debut novel in 2001 and has since then become a very popular author in romance.

She would pen more than thirty works of fiction that include several novellas, omnibuses, single-standing novels, and several series of novels.
In addition to romance, Susanne has also penned two historical fiction works and four crime fiction novels.

Since she was for a long time the wife of a diplomat, she never got a chance to establish her own career and was at different times employed as a translator and a fitness instructor.
She now makes her home in two locations in a small cottage that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean in Dingle, County Kerry, or at the big old house the family bought in the Irish locale of County Tipperary.
When Susanne is not writing her own novels, she can usually be found keeping fit at the gym or scaling the mountains abundant in the counties she calls home.

O’Leary debuted her writing career writing non-fiction works about fitness and health given that she is a trained fitness teacher.
It was while she was penning these two that she realized that she loved the writing process a lot.

Her then-editor encouraged her to pen a novel inspired by her experiences living as the wife of a diplomat.

It was from this that she penned “Diplomatic Incidents,” her debut under the Dublin-based New Island Books.

In 2010, there was a sudden decline in the publishing industry and she broke away from her agent and publisher and published several backlists in addition to several that her agent had held back for submission.
Since then, Susanne has written and self-published several novels and then signed with Bookouture in the United Kingdom.

Susanne O’Leary’s has said that her globetrotting life provides much of the inspiration for the characters and settings in her novels.
She also finds inspiration from her current home in County Kerry where she has a holiday cottage.

She usually writes from a little office at her cottage with magnificent views of the mountains, green hills, and the ocean.

Susan O’Leary’s novel “Secrets of Willow House” is the story of Maeve McKenna, a woman who is about to break down.

She had worked very hard to become one of the best interior designers in London but now desperately needs a vacation.

On the other hand, Philomena Duffy is feeling very lonely and Willow House her crumbling mansion feels very empty after she lost her husband.
Feeling the Irish coasts calling to her, Maeve decides to visit her aunt who makes her home in Sandy Cove.

When she was a child, she used to spend her holidays there and had one time kissed a mysterious and wild boy and never forgot it.
Far away from the chaotic city life, Maeve becomes determined to restore the ancient house to its former glory.

The two women soon develop a strong friendship and surrounded by the peeling carpets and faded walls of Willow House, they discover a secret that changes everything.
Still, Maeve cannot forget the mysterious boy she kissed all those years in the past and wonders if he is still a resident of Sandy Cove.

Just as she is beginning to get comfortable, reality sets in and Maeve has to make a choice between leaving Sandy Cove, its rocky beach, and Willow House and her interior design job in the city.
But does she have the courage to leave everything behind and put down roots in the country?

“Sisters of Willow House” by Susanne O’Leary is a heartwarming novel set in the very familiar rocky windswept shores of Ireland that tells of sisterly bonds.
Roisin McKenna and Cian her husband have been taking time apart and she now needs to think about what she wants for her life.

She is unsure of what the future holds when she gets a call from Maeve her sister asking for help.

Roisin travels to Sandy Cove hoping that she can provide Maeve her sister with the help she desperately needs to restore Willow House the gorgeous tumbledown house that belongs to their aunt.
While Maeve says that there are many secrets in the rafters, Roisin feels that she needs to focus on the walls.

Soon enough, she starts feeling that the sense of self that she has not had for years is coming back.

The ties which bound her to her husband seem to be unraveling and the deterioration hastens when she meets a mysterious man while walking on the beach.
Suddenly she begins to think that maybe she could live a much better life.

Working on the house may have brought the two together but as the storm rolls over the coast, Roisin will be forced to make a very difficult choice.

Susanne O’Leary’s “Dreams of Willow House” is another interesting addition to the “Sandy Cove” series of novels.
The lead is a woman named Cordelia Mafiore that never felt like South Florida was home.

As such, when out of the blue she is invited to the reading of a will belonging to a long-lost relative in Ireland, she hopes that it might just be her way out.
She hopes that getting out of the US and heading to Willow House where she will meet her extended family might be key to her figuring out her identity.
As soon as she arrives in Sandy Cove, she is taken by the stunning coastline and the vivid blue ocean which provide a never before experienced calm.
She also meets Roisin and Maeve her cousins who welcome her to Ireland and introduce her to a handsome man with whom she has an instant connection.
However, she does not find acceptance with the rest of the family who do not even believe she is family.

Things only get worse when the will says she is set to inherit a third of the property and the family insists she prove she is who she says she is.
But all she has to go with are a battered box of family photos and ancient parish records that lead her to unearth some dark secrets.
