Annabelle Anders is the mother of three kids, two Miniature Wiener dogs, and wife.

After owning a business and experiencing a considerable amount of success, she and her husband got caught up in the financial crisis and lost everything in 2008; their business, their home, and even their car.

At this time, she put her BA in Political Science to good use and took on work as a bartender and waitress. Unwilling to give up on a professional life, she simultaneously returned to college and got her degree in Energy Management. Then the energy market dipped. Then her dog died.

Annabelle can just be grateful for this series of unfortunate events, since, without anything to lose and totally demoralized, she sat down and started to write the romance novels that had up until then, existed just in her imagination.

In 2019, she was nominated for the RITA Award by the Romance Writers of America.

Annabelle writes the books that she wants to read. Sizzle, sexy, and fun. She insists that her heroes and heroines better themselves before they find happiness together. Like life, her romances can bring you to tears, make you laugh out loud, and then make you experience all of the feels of a good first kiss, and so much more.

To get over writers’ block, she just writes anyway. And if it’s not any good, she’ll fix it later on.

The best parts of being a writer is creating something special and she is happy to have finally found her place in life.

Mary Balogh’s work has inspired her by providing her with so many hours of enjoyment. Annabelle just had to create some worlds of her own.

She wanted to come up with a really catchy opening chapter without having to worry about how exactly the rest of the novel would turn out, sort of like a writing exercise without any pressure. She tried to think about the most unusual situation she could for a heroine in a regency romance to be in. And she came up with Cecily and her dilemma. She liked the idea so much that she just continued. The ideas kept flowing for her and the book, called “Hell Hath No Fury”, wound up writing itself.

“Hell Hath No Fury” is the first novel in the “Devilish Debutantes” series and was released in 2017. Forbidden love. Cecily Nottingham has made a gigantic mistake. The marriage bed was still warm when the earl she believed she loved crawled out of it and told her he loved somebody else. Loves somebody else.

There is a happily ever after hanging in the balance, since, yes, love is able to conquer all, but sometimes it does need just a little bit of help.

There are tender romantic moments, laugh out loud parts, and just enough antics in the bedroom to keep things feeling real. Readers enjoyed the ways the characters learn more about themselves and end up becoming better people through their experiences. The book explores the notion of commitment, betrayal, loyalty, and revenge quite well.

“Nobody’s Lady” is the first novel in the “Lord Love a Lady” series and was released in 2018. Dukes don’t need any help. Or do they?
