Tammy Falkner
Tammy Falkner lives on a farm in a sprawling and lovely little town in rural North Carolina with her beekeeper husband and a house filled with boys, some dogs, and a cat or two (or five who’s the time to count?). As half of the Lydia Dare team, she’s also co-written ten books.
Tammy is a huge fan of Regency England, she often wonders what other sorts of mythical, magical, and strange creature may live and interact with the ton. Exploring the theory that the fae can walk between Regency England and their own land, Tammy spends as much time as she possibly can with the ladies and lords of society, elegant balls, and horse-drawn carriages.
She is not a plotter, so she begins every book with an idea about who her characters are, but nothing else in her head about how things are going to go.
“A Lady and Her Magic” is the first novel in the “Faerie” series and was released in 2012. Rules were made to be disobeyed. Sophia Thorne is new to the Regency’s glittering high society, which resembles her magical homeland only because both places are filled with such ridiculous rules. Which means that no matter where she goes, she is bound to get into some sort of trouble.
And scandals are meant to be shocking. The Duke of Robinsworth has shocked and flaunted society for years. In one moment of fateful mischief, he encounters the distinctly scandalous and enchanting Sophia. Between her streak of magical mischief and his penchant for scandal, they are just about to take rule breaking to a whole new level.
“The Magic of ‘I Do’” is the second novel in the “Faerie” series and was released in 2013. Desperately seeking excitement. Claire Thorne may as well return to the Regency world, with the temporary prohibition on magic on the land of the Fae. The haut ton has got just as many annoying rules as her own world does, however at least they still have dances and parties. Plus, the roguish Lord Phineas “Finn” Trimble is there.
When this feisty faerie tumbles on into his room through this magical portal, Finn cannot fathom how totally unpredictable she is. Even before the couple stumble into a bit of dangerous intrigue which threatens each of their worlds, Finn learns that his hitherto carefree life is soon to go up in smoke soon.
“Tall, Tatted and Tempting” is the first novel in “The Reed Brothers” series and was released in 2013. She is locked up tight, however he may just be the key.
Logan Reed is tempting, tall, and tatted. Kit is a woman with a secret and a mean right hook. Kit wants to get a tattoo, however Logan sees a lot more than she intended sharing in the drawing of the tat she wants. He sees her in ways that nobody ever has. Logan isn’t disabled, however he just hasn’t spoken in eight years. He’s not needed to. Until he meets Kit.
Logan does not know everything there is to know about Kit. Kit does not know anything about herself, until she must sacrifice everything she ever wanted in order to save what is most important to him.
“Feels like Summertime” is the first novel in the “Lake Fisher” series and was released in 2016. Katie Higgins was the first girl that Jake ever loved. They spent just one summer together at Lake Fisher when they were both sixteen and then he never saw her ever again. His job is gone, his life is shit, and his dead just had a stroke, so he finds himself returning to Lake Fisher once more.
And so does Katie. Her last name is something other than Higgins now, because she is married with three kids and one more on the way, however when she shows up at Lake Fisher with her children, danger trails her all the way there. Jake could do a lot of things, he could go back home. He could stick around and deal with it. However he wants to take care of Katie most of all. If he just concentrates on her, maybe he will not have to face his own issues. Fix Katie, that’s it.
Katie has not seen Jake in eighteen years now, however the moment that she lays eyes on him, she feels a lot safer than she has in a very long time. Memories begin swamping her every time she looks out over the cool and clear water. A first love. A first kiss. A first boyfriend. The old spark is still there. She just cannot act on it, and neither can Jake. Their story began eighteen years previous, and then they each made lives with other people. Jake’s willing to tell Katie all about his, however she cannot share hers with him. Ever. They can just be friends and spend one more summer together, right? Of course, they can.
“Stranded AF” is the first novel in “The AF” series and was released in 2021. One impromptu trip to Australia. Two adults that had made a pact while they were kids to stay friends forever. Two precocious kids. Two gigantic and unruly dogs. What could go wrong? Everything. Everything could go wrong. And it did.
When Liam Scott looked up and he saw Frankie Thompson standing in the doorway to his office, he almost had to pick himself up off the floor. Frankie turning up mean that she needed his help. He had never been able to turn her down and he could not turn her down this time around, either. He would do anything for her, always had and always would.
So, he packed his kids up and headed off for Australia. The plan was quite simple: visit the zoo, do a bit of snorkeling, some outback sightseeing with his kids, and spend some time with Frankie. For her part, she had been loving Liam for over twenty-five years. She had needed him and he had come, just like she knew he would.
And now they were both stranded AF in the middle of nowhere, and all of it was Frankie’s fault. However what if getting lost meant finding all of it finally?
