Rekker
Rekker is the debut in the Vaznik Warriors series. Rekker never expected to get a match on the eve when he got sent to recover a mysterious artifact. He got a quick message from his leader and went fast to find out why it was so important. Lila’s birthday was the same day, and she was chosen for the lottery.

Before she got ready,’ they’ knocked at her door to check on her. Upon arriving at the clinic, she was instructed to enter one of the rooms for her examination and teleporting before she could think of resisting. That’s when she’s thrust into the alien world.

Once Rekker arrives, his commander congratulates him and is handed over a mate as a reward. The rest of his warrior team was getting ready for a mission to get the news that he had hit the lottery. It’s not just any bride; a human bride and Rekker were already waiting when Lila arrived. Both of them were unhappy, and Lila was so angry that she didn’t want to go to Rekker.

He’s sent a human woman who is carved and appears lush.

He never thought a lush and curved woman would turn out to be his mate; however, the woman doesn’t want anything to do with Rekker. As his blood thirsts for her, his need to make her happy surpasses everything.

Rekker threw her on his shoulders and took her to his room. She didn’t stop screaming, so he dropped her on the bed, locked the room, and left. He needed to get back to Calliope to ensure it was ready to go. When he got back to Lila, she was boiling with anger.

He tried talking to her and told her that she had to go with him on his mission, after which he would return her home. With time Lila began to adjust her way of thinking and got fond of Rekker. Will Rekker keep his promise to Lila, or will they end up together?

He has to look for a way to set her free, even if that means he’ll forever remain alone. Soon danger comes from an unexpected direction which throws them together. After his mate turns to him, he’s more determined to keep her safe no matter the cost.

He plans on keeping her, then later claiming her as his own. On the other hand, Lila Kanes never asked for anything more apart from a peaceful and quiet life while living on her family’s farm. She is ready to do whatever it takes to find her way back home when she’s thrown into the stars.

She’s eagerly waiting to go back to her family on Earth. She doesn’t want to stay with the hot, horned alien with a perfect body who always made her feel like the most special being in the entire universe.

Could she be as extraordinary as the alien is claiming?
In the story, Aliens help keep the Earth safe, and in exchange, they are given mates; the government has set up a mater lottery for a bride, and the women have no option but to participate. Rekker and Lila are perfect together, even when the two don’t realize it.

Lila is angry after being forced into a relationship she never chose, especially when she realizes Rekker is an alien. He has military responsibility for his race, and someone has decided it’s time for Rekker to have a bride so that he can be the future of the race.

Due to the contract between the Earth and the Vanzil warriors to keep the Earth safe from Suhlik in return for genetically compatible females, Lila is chosen.
The author did a superb job of describing the alien environment diversely and entertainingly. The crew of Rekker’s ship, the Calliope, was well explained.

Ava York also outdid herself by capturing the reader’s attention by taking them on a roller coaster ride. Lila and Rekker have great chemistry, a sense of humor, and unique personalities, and they understand their motivations. Their romance grew slowly as they got to know each other better.

The story is filled with action and suspense and has steamy scenes.
Rescued by Her Alien Mate
Rescued by Her Alien Mate is the first novel in the Warriors of the D’ tali series. Kidnapped by four blue aliens, Sofia and eleven other ladies are captured by four other armed aliens after crashing into a planet habited by reptilian people. A mysterious enemy attacked their ship.

At first, they thought getting kidnapped was the only worst thing they could experience, but now they realize they were wrong. Initially, the plan is to sell the women as slaves, but they crash after being attacked and find themselves surrounded by different kinds of aliens.

Dojak is the king of the D’tali and is among the rescuers. However, they can’t communicate well due to the language barrier. Sofia starts to have an intimate connection with the king, and she doesn’t understand the feeling. When Dojak touches her, she feels something inside her, but if she gives in to her heart, how ill she and the other women stay safe?

The D’tali seems kind and caring, but until they can find a way to communicate, the aliens can’t understand them and why they are in their world. They have very few females in the alien world to a point where Dojak had already resigned from having a mate of his own. However, he starts having mating signs after he sees Sofia.

If only they could communicate and deal with the enemy, they could find the traitor hiding amongst themselves. Dojak is sure Sofia is his mate, and they’ll have to find a way to communicate so that coming danger doesn’t find them.

Their abductors used a particular machine to understand the alien languages. Even though Dojak knew Sofia was his fated mate, he could not communicate with her until the device was used on her and her team so that they could understand what the D’tali were saying.

The world-building was great, and the characters were exciting and intriguing.
