Jon Land is an all-time best author of more than 28 novels. Some of his famous books include: ,the ‘Tenth circle’, ‘Pandor’s Temple’,Betrayal,’ ‘strong justice’, ‘strong rain falling’ (Winner of USA Best book awards for Mystery and Suspense 2013 and also winner of 2014 international book award. Strong darkness, a later novel, won 2015 International Book Award for thriller and the 2014 USA Best book Award. Of all Jon novels, seventeen of them have been featured on the national best seller list, making him one of the top thriller writers.
Jon Land’s passion for writing thriller novels became evident during his college time at Brown University. He managed to convince the faculty to allow him to write a thriller to serve as his senior honors thesis. This had never happened in this university. His first book, The Doomsday Spiral was printed four years after graduating from college. This was in 1983. During the last pharse of the cold war, Jon found the best opportunity for writing his thriller novels. He wrote chilling portrayals of various threats which were being posed to U.S. He wrote of individuals who dedicated their lives as undercover agents outside the U.S security. This was aimed at maintaining the security of the U.S. His most successful novels of this period were Blaine McCracken series which had nine novels. It stared a former CIA agent who was also a Green Beret. He had similar skills to those of James Bond but he lacked the Englishman tacts.
In 1998, Jon Land managed to publish his first novel in the Ben and Danielle series. This series is characterized by a set of fast-paced thrillers whose heroes were an Israeli detective and a Detroit cop. They worked together with the aim of protecting the holy land. During their mission, they ended up falling in love. RT book reviews during 2010 awarded Jon a particular prize for his role in pioneering genre fiction.’ Killing time’, a story he had written was also included in the listing for the Dagger awards. This was for the best short fiction. Jon bases his script, novels and series on extensive travel and research. His 25-year career in martial arts also plays a very significant role. Jon is an associate member of the US Special force and on a variety of occasions he volunteers in schools to help young people understand and enjoy the art of writing.
Currently, Jon lives in Providence, which is close to his alma mater. He is the Vice-president of marketing of the international thriller Writer. He is often asked to speak on various topics regarding writing and research. In addition to writing, Jon is a screenwriter. His first film ‘credit’ was produced in 2005. Jon always works and associates with many industries professionals, and this has gained him respect and friendship from many authors. His primary passion is storytelling in any form.
One of the most sort after series by Jon Land is the Caitlin Strong series. This series has a total of seven books. ‘Strong enough to die’ which was produced in 2009 is the first novel in this series.It is considered a rip rope adventure with an ending so surprising and totally satisfying. When you finish reading this novel, you will realize that you hardly took a breath during the last ten pages. This book starts with a shootout in the Texas desert. The two parties involved in this shooting include Texas Rangers and a band of outlawed Mexican. Caitlin Strong, who is the heroine of this novel, is a Texas Ranger. Despite this shootout, there is an American, who is trying to kill her and her partner.From this shootout, the novel takes us to Bahrain where we meet a dazed man who does not know where he is, and he totally thinks he does not exist. The story later takes at to Washington where we meet Harmon Delladone, who is the CEO of all powerful Mac Arthur-Rain. He is discussing about a failure in Bahrain that resulted in their inability to get what they wanted. Finally the story takes us to Houston, were we meet a journalist who is writing an important story concerning a dangerous man and abruptly his computer erupts
Cort Wesley, a master killer from Texas, who was sent to jail for five years by Caitlin for being involved in the shootout, has just been released from jailed. He has been released since the DNA testing that was conducted,showed that he was not present at the crime scene. Cort has made it his mission to kill Caitlin, who had left the Ranger and started working at a clinic. In this clinic their is the man from Bahrain, who is the primary target by the Evil Delladonne. Clayton (a special force working for Delladonne) invades the clinic to get the man from Bahrain, as a cover they plan to kills everyone. During this time, Cort visits the clinic with the intention of killing Caitlin.
The Special Forces are surprised by Catlin, who kills several of them. With a change of heart Cort spare Caitlin and helps her kill some of the invaders. The Texas Rangers and the killer partner up with the intention of destroying Delladonne.
‘Strong Justice’ which was released in 2010, is the second book of this series. Caitlin Strong, a Texas Ranger, finds herself looking for a missing woman. This search results in finding a whole lot more including her friend Cort Wesley Master. Texas Ranger Legend George Arrington and William Ray Strong had discovered 26 bodies rotting in West Texas plains during 1881. There was no indication of how these people died. Caitlin grandfather (Earl Strong) is called upon to restore order in Sweetwater. This is during the oil boom of 1932.New groups of people who have moved to this area were out of control, and the local constable was unable to restore order. Earl finally manages to restore order. Cort Wesley son Dylan tries to help a teenage girl who has escaped from her kidnapper Macerio. Unfortunately, Macerio knows where Dylan lives, he goes out to get his girl back and revenge for the inconveniences caused by Dylan. Luckily for Dylan, Cort and Caitlin are not the people to mess with.
Macerio escapes, but he has unleashed the wrath of the Rangers especially that for Caitlin Strong. Caitlin teamed up with Cort, find where women are being taken. This was they were searching for the missing woman. The water mining were dead bodies were found in 1881 is the same location where missing women are being taken to. Unexpected violence erupts in the nearby town while far away in Mexico someone has hatched a plan to overthrow the U.S come the year 2012. At this stage, multiple lasers are charged and ready to be fired.
