Emma Scott is a bestselling author known for writing character-driven romance novels. She is the author of the City Lights series, the Full Tilt series, the Dreamcatcher series, the Beautiful Hearts duet, and the Lost Boys series. Her books have been translated into multiple languages. She was the winner of a Utopia Con Award for LGBTQ Book of the Year for Someday, Someday.

As an author, Emma aims to write emotionally-charged stories that are designed to tear the reader’s heart out and then put it back together again by the time the story is done.

The Girl in the Love Song is the first book in the Lost Boys series. The story introduces Miller Stratton who is a survivor. He had a rough childhood of poverty which has made him driven to find security for himself and his mother. He has put all of his hopes and dreams into his guitar and the songs that he creates with his voices. Then he meets Violet. He’s only thirteen when he meets her, but he knows that he has just met the love of his life. The spunky rich girls steals his heart and it’s not coming back. Despite coming from privilege, Violet’s life hasn’t exactly been easy either. Her family isn’t as perfect as they seem, but Miller remains her constant and she doesn’t want to ruin what they have with romance. The heart doesn’t listen to logic like that though. Miller’s star is rising with his love songs finding an audience. If only Violet would realize they are about her.

The Sinner is a standalone novel by Emma Scott and the winner of the Authors on the Air, Romance Novel of the Year 2021. An introvert named Lucy Dennings lives a quiet life in New York City. She mostly focuses on her work and other than that she keeps to herself, reading romance novels at night. Her heart seeks solace in the books, but she begins to realize that she is searching for a piece of herself in the books. One day Lucy discovers a dead body in the alley behind her apartment and tries to help, but the body isn’t so dead and she is drawn into a new world. She finds that demons actually lurk in the alleys and meets a beautiful creature of darkness with amber eyes and wings like night that just might be the thing she’s been missing in her life.

Bring Down the Stars is the first in the Beautiful Hearts duet. Autumn falls in love with Connor despite her attempts not to. His soul spoke directly to hers and he writes poetry that seems as if he can feel her heart, but there is also something about his best friend Weston. He’s the opposite of Connor in every way, but there is an electricity between the two of them. The more time that she spends with them, the more confusing her feelings become. The two men end up singing up for the Army Reserves during a time of increasing strife in the Middle East which leaves Autumn at home where she feels as if her heart will tear into two, one half for each of them.

The Dreamcatcher series begins with How to Save a Life. Josephine Clark is trapped by her past and the violence of her daily life. She often thinks of Evan, a boy she knew in high school, that knew things that no one could know. She once sought solace in his company and it was the closest to happiness she’s been. Now, four years later, the memory of that time is starting to dissolve and feels like a dream. Then he appears to her when she needs him most. The two end up leaving her small town and going on the run from the police. Jo suspects there is something more to this story and over the next twelve days, a road trip across the heartland, things will come to light from secrets and the past. The two find their soul love which blurs the line between dreams and reality.
