Maya Alatorre is nothing but a forbidden temptation. She is an ambitious post-graduate that Noah should stay far away from, and is chaos wrapped with a bow. Noah and Maya are a ticking time bomb, just about a single wrong move from exploding. Noah wants to trip that wire, detonating together in pain and passion. Because in the end, all is fair in war and lust.

Lauren Asher does a fantastic job of immersing you into the world of racing in this novel. Her writing is impeccable, captivating you with her words and this sport world she created is splendid. It’s one that you quickly don’t want to leave. And the traveling and getting to see a glimpse of these different cultures and countries was quite cool. Maya and Noah have some off the charts chemistry, and fans of the book loved reading about how attracted they are to each other and how they go about fighting it.

“Collided” is the second novel in the “Dirty Air” series and was released in 2020. Liam Zander is Formula 1’s golden boy, however he is nothing but a fraud. Seductive, charming, and devious. Not to mention somebody that promises to fulfill all of Sophie Mitchell’s naughtier bucket list items. She forces him behind the safe lines of the friend zone. Instead of just accepting their friendship, he tries to strike a deal with her. One list, one season, and one dirty secret.

Sophie is Liam’s greatest fantasy made real. But she’s also a huge threat to his contract getting renewed. She is a part of a rival team and somebody that Liam should be resist at all costs. Everybody is against their friendship. Her dad, Liam’s boss. Even Liam, himself is against it. But Liam’s captivated by her and that naughty list that she created. Screw platonic, he wants catastrophic.

Fans of the novel fell in love with Sophie and Liam right from the very first page. They have such a cute friendship and their banter back and forth is so natural and fun. Liam’s backstory does a great job of adding so much depth to his character, even if it is a bit heartbreaking, but his journey just made readers love him that much more. His side where he doesn’t want to commit for reasons from his past made some fans so very sad for the guy since he deserves so much love.

“Wrecked” is the third novel in the “Dirty Air” series and was released in 2020. Adrenaline, pills, and booze. Jax is addicted to destructive choices which numb his pain. Until this one night when he makes a gigantic, catastrophic mistake. In order to repair his shattered reputation, his team hires an overpaid babysitter, named Elena, that is set on ruining every single one of his plans. She is his damnation that is disguised as his salvation. Not to mention his newest addiction.

Elena had begged the universe to save her from her financial disaster. It answered this call with a Formula 1 team that was desperate for some kind of PR miracle. One job for a season, with this one broody British racer. Except Jax turns their hotel room into a battlefield. In order to beat the enemy, Elena needs to find Jax’s weaknesses. What she winds up learning threatens to ruin it all. Elena. Jax. Both of them. Love is a war zone, and neither of them has any plan whatsoever.

Readers felt like they were in the pit, and could smell the rubber, the fumes, and overall feeling of adrenaline that is on the track. Elena is such a strong character, and her back story is gut wrenching and she still has her demons, even years later. Readers were awestruck in the way she handles each and every situation, and fell in love with her fully and is everything you could possibly want in a heroine.

“Redeemed” is the fourth novel in the “Dirty Air” series and was released in 2020. Santiago Alatorre makes one mistake and it will ruin his whole career. He goes from the most eligible bachelor to monster that hides from the rest of the world. At least until Chloe Carter breaks into his house. His new fake girlfriend is just a temporary fix to his biggest problem. However while their game changes, so does his feelings. There is just a single issue stopping him from claiming her. Himself.

For Chloe Carter, it all began with an ancestry kit, a birthday wish, and some vodka. That is how she winds up in Italy, tracking down her long lost dad. However a single choice lands her this fake boyfriend that she does not want. The more that they pretend, the simpler their little ruse gets. Chloe told herself not to fall in love with a liar like Santiago. She really should have listened.

Chloe hooked readers in from the start, with how she was able to survive her childhood, and moved forward, it was inspiring. Add in her heart of gold, small amount of criminal activity, sass, with her smart mouth, and you get a perfect heroine, and made some readers laugh many times. Salvatore’s story is just so heartbreaking and makes you feel so much for the guy. You really connect to him in this novel, and Lauren does a great job of telling his story.
