JH Croix is a bestselling contemporary and romance author from Maine, where she lives with her husband and two dogs on some historical farmlands.
She has made a name for himself writing contemporary romances peopled with alpha men and sassy women that never shy away from expressing their emotions.
Since she was raised and for the longest time lived in small quirky towns, her works are usually set in similar settings and have characters you would expect to inhabit such places.

Growing up and right into adulthood, JH Croix has always been a voracious reader that would read everything and anything. In high school and college, she particularly loved literary fiction and adores the character of Elizabeth in Pride & Prejudice and is a fan of Jane Austen.

As for modern authors, she is a huge fan of JK Rowling who she believes is an incredible author. She has much admiration for her willingness to raise awareness among the general public regarding all manner of social issues.

As a younger reader, she often found herself going back again and again to the “Anne of Green Gables” series which she thinks she may have read at least a hundred times. Now as an adult what she reads is determined by her mood.

Her biggest quirk when she is reading which her husband finds amusing is that she loves to read several works at a time. You can often find Croix reading works in non fiction, literature and romance all at the same time.

The fiction works she loves to read include romance and anything by the likes of Sierra Simone, Jill Shalvis,and Susan Elizabeth Phllips among many others. She also loves historical romances from Julia Quinn and Lisa Kleypas.

JH Croix loves to describe herself as a person who is always looking for places and people that inspire happily ever after. She is an author of swoon worthy romances that usually come with feisty and sassy heroines who challenge the handsome alpha heroes.

Small town romance is what she knows how to do and she is not going to stop any time soon. Because of her love for places and people, she has an intense curiosity and it is from this that she gets much of the motivation and inspiration for her novels.

Croix also gets inspiration from anything and anywhere from her morning run with her dogs and funny anecdotes she reads on TV, social media or even in books.
When she is not writing her novels she loves to spend her time with friends and family gardening, with her dogs, outdoors, reading and cooking.

“Burn for Me” by JH Croix introduces Amelia and Cade who once had what they believed was true love romance in their younger days. But Amelia’s best friend Shannon had barged in and caused their love to disintegrate.

Cade decided to leave everything behind to go become a firefighter in the city. But he is now back in town just in time to find that Amelia is about to get married. They immediately reconnect but none of them has the courage to talk about what had torn them apart before.
It is not long before they are in a very good place and were hashing out all their issues when Shannon came back intent on breaking them apart all over again. Will Cade and Amelia’s new found love be able to rise above the challenges they have always had. All Amelia wants is to get her happily ever after after years of pining for love.

It is an intense, amazing and very well written work with beautiful, intense and raw interactions between the characters.

JH Croix’s “Slow Burn” is a brilliant romance novel following the life and times of Maisie. She is a dispatcher at the fire station at Willow Brook, Alaska where she has been working for the past two years.

She has become used to working with several men and the one woman at her workplace, even though she has never been open with any of her colleagues. One of the hotshots is Beck who never tires of flirting with her and teasing her.

He has always crushed on her ever since she had come to the station to visit her grandmother who was then the dispatcher at the fire station. He behaves like a high school student that secretly likes a girl but since he does not know what to do resorts to teasing.

Maisie is also drawn to Beck but given his reputation as the town flirt, she does not want to commit to anything. But when he accidentally sees her in the station shower naked, he becomes even more determined to make her his.

Given her background, she has never been comfortable letting anyone in and has always been an independent woman. As such when the fun fireman Beck shows his interest she doesn’t know what to make of her feelings and if she should trust him.

“Burn So Bad” by JH Croix is the story of a handsome man named Levi that has always loved Lucy. He has loved her for so long that he should probably be awarded a badge of merit or something for control and persistence. The hot fireman could have any pretty thing he wanted in town but his obsession with Lucy never could let him.

But she has rebuffed him with an icy demeanor for years and this does not look like it will be changing any time soon. Lucy refuses to give him a chance even though anyone can tell that the air is charged with tension whenever they are in each other’s vicinity. But still she will not acknowledge that they have intense chemistry.

Levi is a protective and strong alpha male who always riled up Lucy since he loved her. Lucy is a feisty and petite construction worker who has always been so independent that she never felt she needed a man to feel complete.

It is the feisty and fiery personality that so strongly attracted Levi but he has to find a way to get through to her. Things become interesting when they get thrown a luscious bone by fate.
