Rachel Lee
Rachel Lee’s life, appropriately enough, reads just like a novel. Odds are that she has resided in any part of America—from the deep South (Florida) to the frozen North (Michigan), from the low-lying hills of the old West (Texas) to the tippy top of the Rockies (Colorado), as well as all three coasts of the contiguous United States.
A string of occupations go along with her travels. Like acting as a security specialist to the US Department of Defense, selling houses right on the tops of mountains, working as an optician, and programming computers, as well as other things.
But it would seem that she was just gathering experiences for writing, which is her true calling. She has been writing since the age of eight, which began with a third grade school play. By age twelve, she was hooked on writing and continued to practice all while moving from one place to another all over the United States. However it’s only been since 1990 that she has been able to do it full time. It is a dream come true, each minute of it.
Rachel submitted the manuscript, which was a romantic suspense novel, at her mom’s urging and was surprised when it was quickly bought. Over the following five years she wrote fifteen more novels.
Little did she know that she would have a “Sleepless in Seattle” type romance all her own that resulted from selling her first book to Silhouette Books in 1990. Rachel, while determined to learn more about her new career, joined up with an online writers’ group.
Just imagine the budding romance writer’s surprise when she fell in love with one of the members of the group. Rachel found that it’s still possible to nurture a romance with the written word. After seven months of keeping up a steady correspondence, they met up, and then one week later they moved in with each other.
Rachel has won six Romantic Times magazine Reviewers’ Choice Awards, which includes the Lifetime Achievement Award, and has been a five time finalist for the Romance Writers of America’s RITA Award. She is also a New York Times Bestseller.
Rachel’s debut novel, called “An Officer and a Gentleman”, was released in the year 1991. Her work is from the paranormal romance, romantic suspense, and romance genres.
“Shadows of Myth” is the first novel in the “Ilduin” series and was released in the year 2005. No future and no memory, and just a white rose left to identify her.
The Ilduin Bane are just legend and myth: hitman mages whose blades drip with poison and whose minds share a common purpose, one of either control or death. All that have gone up against them have been lost, unable to penetrate through their powerful protections.
So Archer Blackcloak gathers together a tiny band to bring about Bane’s downfall. From Archer comes indomitable will and strength of purpose. Giri and Ratha, the Anari warriors, give this group a fighter’s skill and temper. They’re joined by Sara Deepwell, who’s got a surprising talent for magic and Young Tom, whose unwavering loyalty is matched by an insatiable curiosity. From their final member, Tess Birdsong, who is the sole survivor of the brutal attack which left her without any memory, comes the power of somebody without anything left to lose.
However the road to freedom is twisted and long, and before they have finished their old sorrows might just destroy them. But once began, they can’t just turn back, no matter how high the price to be paid is.
“Wildcard” is the first novel in the “Office 119” series and was released in the year 2005. When the deck’s been stacked against you, working outside of the law is the last card left to play.
Following a victorious evening, some shots ring out, which leaves the Democratic presidential front runner close to death. While the investigation starts, FBI special agent Tom Lawton gets sidelined, given some work that is intended to just keep him out of the way. Determined to figure out why, he launches his investigation of his own and discovers this web of deceit that was constructed by his superiors. Quickly, he has uncovered way too much.
Working alone is no longer an option for him, and his only hope is Agent Renate Bachle, a woman with secrets of her own. Running for his life, he has to figure out whether or not he is able to trust this mysterious foreigner to help guide him through the corridors of this conspiracy which threatens a nation, or whether she’s just another spider in the web.
“Claim the Night” is the first novel in the “Claiming” series and was released in the year 2011. His hunger knew no bounds, and Jude felt the Hunger deep within him.
From the very moment he had rescued Theresa from a late night attack, he had ached for things that he never could have. The taste of her blood and the touch of her skin. However if the vampire did claim her, one of them might not survive.
So Jude just did all he could to make Terri just stay away from him. But a demon was stalking this sexy spitfire and Jude was all the protection that she had. He had no choice but to keep a woman that he hungered for and fight some cravings which could never be sated.
“Claimed By a Vampire” is the second novel in the “Claiming” series and was released in the year 2012. He is her one chance at safety.
Yvonne, an independent writer, has gotten used to taking care of herself. However when she moves into her new apartment and senses that there is a demon watching every move she makes, she’s got no choice at all but to put her life in the hands of this one dangerously sexy vampire.
Under beautiful Creed’s powerful protection. Yvonne soon succumbs to his immortal desire. However can he safeguard her from the evil that isn’t going to stop until it claims her for as its own?
