Starting out in 2020, Jane Bexley would begin her writing career with her ‘Toots and Farts’ series of children’s stories. This would see her subsequently produce a number of them that were well received by children from around the world. Illustrating them herself, they would feature lively characters with ridiculous humor that made countless readers laugh.

With many different themes and ideas for each of her books, they would be imaginative, with several of them being brought out fairly close together. This would lead to Bexley gaining the popularity that she currently has today, with her audience continually growing all the time. Setting herself apart from other writers within her field, she maintains a presence, as more books are expected to follow.

Freddie The Farting Snowman

Originally published through the Kindle platform in 2020, this would first come out on the 27th of October. It would also be the first in the ‘Toots and Farts’ series of children’s picture books, making for a bright and lively collection. Accessible to all ages, it’s simple to read with a fun and inventive story that’s engaging on many different levels.

This is a funny and engaging book that’s not too rude, with plenty of lively illustrations that really deliver an engaging story. Younger readers will love its use of potty humor that tells a silly story, all while developing a love of reading at the same time. The characters are also charming, as they carry the reader along in a heartfelt and witty manner that carries the story well.

It’s a well known fact that apparently all snowmen fart, particularly Freddie who especially has a serious case of flatulence. Following him as the lead character, he comes to learn how he deals with farting, coping with it on a daily basis. Looking at many different styles of fart, from the ‘Farticle Collider’ to the ‘Arctic Blast,’ he finds this all out in a straightforward manner. Just where will his farting take him? Can he seriously cope with it all? What exactly will become of Freddie the Farting Snowman?

Gary The Goose And His Gas On the Loose

This would initially come out in 2021 on the 18th of February, and it would be another entry in the ‘Fart Dictionaries and Toot Along Stories.’ Similar to Jane Bexley’s previous books it would contain humor that largely ran in a highly similar vein to before. Knowing her audience well at this stage, it uses a similar style of illustration too, as it’s bright and comes to life off the page.

Once again the story uses potty humor allowing the reader to have a lot of fun, with plenty of entertaining characters along the way. Using rhymes to carry its narrative, it flows along the page in a simple to follow style that’s extremely easy for a young audience to read. The descriptions are well paced giving it a sense of rhythm, as well as a sense-of-humour, giving the book a lot of heart and warmth.

Gary is a goose and he has a serious case of flatulence, which has become a problem, scaring any potential friends away. What he needs to do is figure out what is causing his farting, looking into it in the hope that he can prevent it from happening further. This is told in a rhyming style, as he comes to learn what friendship means, all while dealing with his problem. Can he stop himself from continuing to fart? Will he be able to make any friends? What will become of Gary the Goose and his gas on the loose?
