About Bradford Morrow
An American author, Bradford Morrow is well known for his literary and historical fiction, creating intricately woven mysteries. Steeping his stories in a rich and immersive ambiance, he really knows how to bring the world of his novels to life, allowing them to build for the reader. This is something that he’s excelled at over the years, establishing a literary style and approach that is very much his own. Saying something important through his work too, he really knows how to get his message across in a manner that’s direct and to the point. It’s his historical details that are also to be admired, as he really pays attention to detail every step of the way, and on each single page.

There’s a lot to invest in when it comes to a Bradford Morrow novel, with each of his stories being densely packed, yet easily digestible at the same time. Really knowing and understanding his audience, he has an engaging style which fully grabs his readers from the outset and doesn’t let go. Over time he has developed this approach into a style that is entirely unique to him, making each one of his books immediately identifiable. Setting himself apart, he’s fast become a household name for many, with readers all around the world enjoying his work.

Early and Personal Life
Born on the 8th of April in 1951, Bradford Morrow was born in Baltimore, Maryland, in the United States. Raised in Littleton, Colorado, he would spend a number of years travelling, finding his way around the world, before settling in New York City. All the while he would continue to write, putting his own experiences back into his work, and creating his own unique voice.

Working with the ‘Amigos de las Americas’ program, he was a foreign exchange student, especially selected by the Colorado Medical Association. He’d also graduate from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1972 with a BA in English literature, later gaining a Danforth Fellowship seeing him study at Yale University focusing on English and comparative literature. Teaching at many prestigious universities and organizations himself, he continues to write to this present day, with a lot more to follow.

Writing Career
Starting out as a poet, the first collection of poetry to come from Bradford Morrow would be titled ‘Passing from the Provinces’ in 1981. He’d bring out another two collection of poetry in 1982 with ‘Danae’s Progress’ and ‘Posthumes,’ followed by ‘The Preferences’ in 1983. The first novel he’d release he would publish in 1988, and it was titled ‘Come Sunday,’ and it would be a stand-alone historical story.

Later he’d begin his ‘New Mexico’ series in 1995 with ‘Trinity Fields,’ followed by ‘Ariel’s Crossing’ in 2002. Then there would be the ‘Forgers’ series beginning in 2014 with ‘The Forgers,’ and then ‘The Forger’s Daughter’ in 2020. He’s also written numerous essays, along with winning many awards over the course of his career, with a lot more expected to follow.

The Forger’s Daughter
Initially published through the ‘Mysterious Press’ publishing label, this would first come out in 2020 on the 8th of September. Following on from previous book, the ‘The Forgers,’ in 2014, this would continue as a direct sequel to the first book. Working as a stand-alone title with the same characters, it’s best to read the first one first, as it provides a better understanding of who everyone is.

Captivating and intelligent, there are plenty of twists and turns on every page, and it’s clear that Morrow knows his subject matter well. With many thought provoking concepts and ideas, nothing is left out, with the author not holding back at any single point. With an in-depth world and well drawn characters, it’s a definite must for both fans of the author, and of the thriller genre as a whole.

Late one night the reformed literary forger Will is at home with his wife Meghan when they both hear a scream from outside. Running out they find their daughter Maisie bloodied and shaken, as she holds a parcel with a rare literary document, along with a letter mapping out its future. Now Will must return to the life he once knew as forger, looking to counterfeit Edgar Allan Poe’s poem the Tamerlane, of which only a dozen survive of the original. Will he be able to manage it? Why is he being given this particular task? What will become of the forger’s daughter?

The Prague Sonata
Originally published through the Atlantic Monthly Press publishing label, this would first come out on the 3rd of October in 2017. It wasn’t a part of any series, as it would be a stand-alone mystery novel, with historical elements within it. Well researched and well plotted, it captures the history of Czechoslovakia, showing many of the events that have happened throughout its past. There’s a lot of well written characters, particularly that of its leading protagonist, as it’s both entertaining and compelling to read.

Set at the start of the millennium, Meta Taverner gets her hands on a manuscript of an original sonata from an older Czech immigrant living in Queens, New York. The document appears to be authentically from the eighteenth century, with an original composition from the era that’s arresting to listen to. Looking into the history of the document she journeys into the past, tracing its roots and where it came from heading to Prague and back through the Second World War. Where did it really come from? Can she find out the truth behind it all? Who is the real composer of the Prague Sonata?
