Various authors pen the “Guild Wars” series of science fiction novels. The series began publication in the year 2019, when “Storm Clouds” was released.

This series of novels that bridge the time time between the original game series (Guild Wars Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North) and Guild Wars 2.

“Storm Clouds” is the first novel in the “Guild Wars” series and was released in the year 2019. Even though the Omega War has ended, the conflict still continues.

The Peacemaker enforced ceasefire ended the hostilities, however the Mercenary Guild’s moratorium on new contracts gave the other guilds the time as well as freedom to redress some long standing grievances. It has also led to the mindset of “while the cat’s away, the mice’ll play”, and many have taken liberties they normally would not have.

Nothing is like it appears, however, and forces jockey in the shadows to get power, through any means possible, either legal or not. The team of Thorb and Spartan depart from Earth heavily armored and armed. But is it going to be enough?

“Between Two Worlds” is the second novel in the “Guild Wars” series and was released in the year 2020. In the Great Galactic War’s aftermath, the Veetanho assumed total control of the Mercenary Guild’s Inner Council, and with it, power over the affairs of the guild. The Goltar were marginalized, and the Veetanho did all they could in order to get the galaxy to forget about the Goltar ever existing. The Goltar went away quietly, pretending to sulk and just accept their fate, however they never did. The worked in the shadows, amassing resources and power, always seeking out the proper time, and right opportunity, where they’d be able to re-emerge and strip the hated Veetanho of all that they owned.

Down in the depths of the Spine Nebula, a fly-over region that is known solely for the bad luck of its inhabitants and the dangers lurking in its fringes, the Goltar possess a secret weapon. It is known only as the “Infinite Flow”. And it is the source of all their riches, and the crux on which all of their plans rest. However when a shadowy group learns about its existence and comes to seize control of it from the Goltar, the crew of the Midnight Sun gets thrown into its defense. They also learn that they might not have known their employers nearly as well as they first thought.

While the guild wars heat up, the fight for ultimate power might be fought in the Spine Nebula with the Midnight Sun Free Company right in the middle!

“Endless Night” is the third novel in the “Guild Wars” series and was released in the year 2020. The Omega War concluded. Not with a bang, either, but with a whimper. The Peacemaker enforced ceasefire brought the hostilities to an end, but there was no resolution, and now it is up to the Four Horsemen to forge something of a lasting peace. Alexis Cromwell, despite her being pregnant, goes to the Capital with Nigel Shirazi to get justice from the enigmatic Mercenary Guild Council, however when they show up, they are quickly tangled up in galactic politics, and learn that the situation is much worse than they could have ever thought possible.

Back on Earth, Jim Cartwright has been tasked with ‘fixing’ the world government, which was complicit in General Peepo and the Merc Guild’s invasion. He’s got some good ideas, however so do Peepo’s agents that have stayed behind to foment rebellion. Sansar Enkh has got her formidable intelligence service to watch his back, however is it going to be enough?

In addition to that, there is a new force emerging on Earth, and it raises many more questions than it answers? What is the enigmatic Section 51, and what could their ultimate goals be? While the Horsemen work toward peace, the clouds of war are on the horizon. There is a greater war that looms while the other guilds, sensing weakness in the Mercenary Guild, start their battle for supremacy. Who is going to be left when all of the storm clouds clear?

“An Axe to Grind” is the fourth novel in the “Guild Wars” series and was released in the year 2020. The Omega War might have concluded, however neither Earth nor the rest of the galaxy are at peace. Bjorn Tovesson III, the commander of Bjorn’s Beserkers, has come back to Earth. Bear Town is now a smoldering ruin, and the Berserkers’ rep is down in the gutter. While Bjorn attempts charting a course for the Berserkers’ future, ghosts from his past haunt him.

At the same time, the Union Credit Exchange and the Information Guild fight over the future of the Galactic Union’s economy.
