Anna Elliott is a published American author of fiction.
She was born in 1978 to two parents that both had Ph.Ds in the subject of English literature. She spent her childhood growing up in Connecticut. Her childhood home in Wilton was constantly filled up with books for her to read.
Anna has long been interested in the genre of historical fiction. While she was attending university, she fell in love with Celtic history as well as Arthurian legend. She is married to her husband and they have two children, both daughters. Together they reside in Princeton, New Jersey.
She has always been into historical fiction. Anna was pregnant with her first child when she was sleeping. She woke up and had a dream where she was confiding in her mother that she intended to pen a book that was about Isolde, Modred’s daughter. When her own daughter was born she was a great sleeper, even when she was a newborn. That good sleep allowed her the time she needed to transform this dream into a book.
Anna’s likes include Jane Austen, historical fantasy, unicorns, rainbows, British television, and the shows Firefly and Castle. She herself is a favorite among mosquitoes.

Twilight of Avalon is the first novel in the series of novels by Anna Elliott that carries the same name.
There is a woman in the time of Britain and King Arthur that is many things. She is a warrior, a story teller, a healer, even a queen without any throne to sit on. She may be living in the shadow of a king, but she also knows things. Certain true things that could help to keep a kingdom from falling under the control of a tyrant.
Queen Isolde is newly a widow, but that doesn’t mean that things have come to a halt. There are still old wounds to nurse, grudges that are held, and of course those looking to seize power in the court. It’s been not even a full generation since Camelot’s downfall, yet Isolde is still in mourning. She is grieving for King Constantine, her husband who was killed.
Isolde knows that the truth is that Lord Marche may be behind it all and this was murder. Lord Marche has taken the High King title and now is gaining power. She’s known for being a healer and her skills are recognized through the kingdom. But after Con’s passing, there are accusations coming her way that involve sorcery and witchcraft.
They’re a threat to her future freedom as well as any attempts to bring justice to Lord Marche. Isolde has to deal with the suspicions of the public as well as her deep inner sadness. She has to get over the distrust of the court as well as the superstitions and rumors that people have regarding her so that she can defend her place on the throne as well as Britain.
At least she has a few people on her side. One of those is Trystan. He used to be a prisoner and his past is often times dark and lonely. He is not a Briton or a Saxon, so he is largely more immune to the rumors, the scheming, the politics and various accusations that are revolving around the queen. They get out of there and escape together. At first they are just friends but things quickly start to move to something more passionate.
Together they’ve got to try and prove what they think is true, and that Lord Marche and his deceptive actions are not only a threat to them but the entire kingdom of Britain. Can Trystan and Isolde manage to reach their goals and triumph in the end? Find out by reading this entrancing epic story for yourself!
Dark Moon of Avalon is the second novel in the Twilight of Avalon trilogy series by Anna Elliott. If you enjoyed the first novel then be sure to check this one out too and catch all of the excitement, inspired by one of the older stories ever told.
Isolde was known for her skills and abilities. She was a warrior, teller of stories, healer and more. She did her best to try and protect her power and defend her place on the throne. But now she might have an even bigger challenge.
Isolde is going to have to try and turn her enemies into her allies. She is going to have to try and save the person that she’s in love with. And lastly, she’s going to have to give her wounded heart time to heal. The Arthurian legend and its magic are in full swing in this story full of risk and romance.
Isolde is in a new quest, brought back together with Trystan. Her protector and dear friend is teaming up with her in their mission to try and keep Lord Marche along with his Saxon allies from trying to usurp control and take the throne. Isolde has her wit and healing, while Trystan is brave and strong.
Together they’re going to have to become diplomats and do their best to bring their case to the smaller kingdoms and its rules. As they go to places like Cornwall and Ireland, they’re doing their best to try and get people on their side by convincing them that the High King needs their allegiance so that they can prevent Britain from getting into the wrong hands.
They’re still in love but Trystan and Isolde are keeping each other protected by showing how close they are. But when desperate times arrive, they’re going to have to acknowledge their emotions. When a battle arrives, can they make their way through it? Or will their love not be enough? Read this book to find out!
