About C.A. Szarek
An American author, Chrissy A. Szarek is a highly regarded romance and fantasy novelist with a huge imagination. This has translated well to the page, as she’s a gifted writer whose writing is fluid and natural, flowing effortlessly for her many readers worldwide. Appealing the a massive audience from all over, her material is universal, as she has created a style and tone that is very much her own. Known by her name of C.A. Szarek to her many fans, she continues to attract readers from all over with her fun and engaging stories.

Many of her books also bring forwards a good degree of tension and suspense too, combining thriller with the romance novel. Creating an effective hybrid of genres, she’s managed to make her stories work on a number of different levels. This has seen her reaching all kinds of reader, as her use of genre is unique in her approach, really displaying a different perspective. Allowing her audience to become fully invested in her writing, she definitely has a style that draws people in.

Engaging readers through her use of character as well, Szarek has crafted fully three-dimensional personalities in her novels too. They speak in a manner that is wholly real and personal, and don’t simply serve the plot, as they essentially come alive off the page. Intelligent and immersive, her style is also witty, with a lot of warmth and heart at the very center of it all. There’s a lot more to come too, as she definitely wont be stopping any time soon either, as her writing career continues onwards.

Early and Personal Life:
Born in Youngstown in the United States, Szarek would originally grow up in Ohio, but move to Texas later on. Gaining a degree in criminal justice, this would also help come to inform a lot of her work, providing her with many of her ideas too. Offering a wealth of material to draw from, she’d begin to develop herself as a writer over time, leading to her publishing her stories.

This passion for literature would begin early on, as she would nurture it throughout much of her life, continually finding her own voice. Inspired by writers such as Anne McCaffrey, she would fast become a prolific author in her own right, turning into a household name for many. Currently married and living in Texas, she continues to write regularly, with a lot more to come still, as she carries on putting out novels.

Writing Career:
Starting out back in 2013, Szarek would begin with the novel ‘Sword’s Call,’ which would also be the first in her series ‘The King’s Riders’. Creating plenty more series and franchises as time went on, she would show a lot of imagination in her work, combining a variety of different genres, from fantasy to science-fiction. At the heart of it all, though, her love of romance definitely shines through, as she’s an award winning author who’s reached the top of the USA Today Bestseller list on numerous occasion. Continuing to write from her home in North Richland Hills in Texas, there’s plenty more planned on the horizon.

Calculated Collision
First published through the ‘Totally Bound’ publishing imprint, this would initially come out in 2014 on the 5th of June. Following on from the previous two titles in the franchise, this is the third in the ongoing ‘Crossing Forces’ series of books. Providing its own unique story, it carries on in much the same vein as before, offering another self-contained narrative for fans of the books.

This has a lot of drama and tension that really works in keeping the reader constantly hooked throughout at every page turn. With an FBI agent and a passionate romance it has all the ingredients for an exciting and enthralling novel, one that definitely leaves nothing out. There’s plenty for the reader to invest themselves in here, with suspense and action, both engaging and entertaining its audience.

Witnessing the brutal murder of a friend during a New York visit, Nate Crane is the Assistant District Attorney for Dallas County. Now Special Agent Lee Dawson has been assigned to the case, it appears that she may have trouble dealing with the fact she left him only months ago. It appears that he wants to get back together with her and, as she must now protect him in a safe house, the chemistry begins to build. Will they fight their urges, or succumb to their passions? Can Lee keep them both safe? What will happen as they find themselves facing a calculated collision?

The Parchment Scroll
This is the third part in the ‘Highland Secrets’ series of books, but it can be read as a stand-alone, although it does benefit from being read alongside the others. Initially released in 2014 on the 1st of August, this would come out through the Paper Dragon Publishing label to an already eager audience. Being a genre hybrid, it showed Szarek writing one of her most compelling stories in a manner that is both engaging and confident.

Combining fantasy, science-fiction, and romance, this really does have everything when it comes to an altogether exciting story. Featuring engaging characters all the way, it definitely manages to grab the reader and not let go till the very end. Balancing all the different elements with expert precision, Szarek holds it altogether once more, in what it is a truly gripping story.

Unable to seek the authorities, a mysterious woman says she’ll help her reach the seventeenth century, where her sister has ended up. Can they overcome the growing passion between them both though? Will the sister ever be able to return to her own time? What secrets will emerge from the parchment scroll?
