Ivy Smoak is an American published author.

Born May 5 in Wilmington, she counts Ann Brashares, J.K. Rowling, and Harlan Coben among her literary influences.

She is the author of books that fall into the genre of psychological thriller as well as adult romance. While she acknowledges that the two may not go together, the fact is that those are the genres that she likes to write.

She is married to her husband. She loves to write but when she is not busy doing that she can be found doing a variety of other things. She likes to go outside, take long walks, watch a variety of television shows and binge watch them, and do anything but act like a regular adult.

Ivy describes herself as sometimes being fickle. She also describes herself as an entrepreneur. She got into writing romance novels thanks to the encouragement of her then-fiancé to follow her passion. She got started and the rest is history.

Smoak has since composed several stand alone novels as well as series. She has written series that include the Men of Manhattan series, the Hunted series, Sweet Cravings series, Made of Steel series, and many more.

Ivy Smoak is the creator and the writer of the Men of Manhattan series of fictional novels. The debut fictional novel came out in 2015 and is titled City of Sin. Smoak would follow that up with the second book in the series in 2016, titled Third Chances. The third novel in this series was published in 2017 and is titled Missing Pieces. City of Sin is the first novel to come out in the Men of Manhattan series. This is the story about two people lost in a city that always seems to be going. But they may just put an end to their loneliness when they find each other.

New York City is known as being the city that never, ever sleeps. In this stand alone novel, main characters Bee and Mason share their experience of what it is like for them being there and what made them want to move there in the first place.

Bee had a lot going for her when she first decided to move to the city. She was engaged at the time, to a man that she considered pretty much the guy of her dreams. She also had plans to get into the marketing industry and kick start her career full force. However, things did not exactly work out the way that she planned.

Bee is no longer in a relationship and is a full time single young woman. She’s working, but it also happens to be at a job that she thinks is going no where. She also doesn’t like her boss, which makes the situation all the more difficult. They say that the city can either make you or break you, and Bee is contending that the city has officially given her the best that it has.

Rather than continue to go through a hard time, Bee’s making the choice to pack up and go. Even if her friend did set her up on a blind date in an attempt to try and get her to stay, she thinks that there is a very low chance this has of working. She’s ready to say goodbye to the city for good. But could the date end up changing her mind?

For Mason, relationships are not something that he considers to be the peak of his priorities. He’s known for having a reputation as dating a lot of women and is seen as a playboy. He doesn’t mind that this is how others views him and likes being single. He did agree to go out on a blind date, however, he also had an incentive. If he goes on the date, he gets two tickets to see the Knicks.

Even though he’s not invested in this date, the last thing that he expects to happen is to get rejected. He went out and now she’s passing on him. Mason’s the type of guy to be doing the no thank you move, and not the other way around. This starts to get under his skin and Mason becomes determined to show Bee that she’s made the mistake of her life.

He’s going to do all that he can to prove that he’s worthy of being dated. Mason’s kind of into Bee as well. He likes the way that she’s sassy and is attracted to her too. While he has plans to reel her in and then throw her back in the pond, all that may change when he gets a taste of what dating someone like her is really like. Can their romance survive the two of them? Will Mason end up going back to his bachelor ways? Read this romance novel to find out!

   Read all of the Hunted series. They were great!
   Just read The Light to y Darkness. I am currently reading A Whirlwind of Color. I have to say I am disappointed. Too heartbreaking for baby and Penny.

   I just LOVE your books and I have read the first 14 so far!! I’m about to order the Sweet Cravings books and discovered that they’re only in paperback. Is that correct? I am an avid reader and have over 900 hardcover books in my many bookcases and would love it if these were in hardcover. I’ve looked everywhere and can only find paperbacks. Do these books come in hardcover? If so, could you let me know where I can buy them? Keep writing!!
