Kimberley Woodhouse is a published author of fiction. Her writing of over a dozen novels has won her awards and she is a best selling writer.

In addition to being an author, Woodhouse is a wife and a mother, and a musician. She is known for having a quick wit and always tries to maintain an outlook that is positive even though she has gone through some tough times.

Woodhouse is also a speaker. She has popularly shared her story and point of view all over the country at over two thousand different venues in the United States. The story of her and her family go media attention all over the country for years. They have been featured on shows such as Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as well as Mystery ER, The Montel Williams Show, The Harvest Show, The Hour of Power, and more.

She has done over a thousand television appearances in addition to radio interviews. She is married to her husband and they have two children together. They reside in the state of Colorado, where Woodhouse is able to write freely and work on her books.

Kimberley Woodhouse is the creator and the author of the Heart of Alaska series of fictional novels along with author Tracie Peterson. The fictional series kicked off in 2017, which is when the debut novel in the series was published, titled In the Shadow of Denali. The follow up to this debut would come out in 2018 and is titled Out of the Ashes. The third book makes it a trilogy. Under the Midnight Sun was published in 2019. In the Shadow of Denali is the first book in the Heart of Alaska series by Kimberley Woodhouse and Tracie Peterson. In this story readers get to meet the main character of Cassidy Ivanoff for the first time.

Cassidy works with John, her father, at Curry Hotel. The new hotel is prestigious and is located just outside of Mt. McKinley. They may work at the same place but they have different jobs. She has taken a job as the assistant to the cook, while her father will be working as the wilderness exploration and expedition guide for the tourists with deep pockets that come to town.

The Curry Hotel is getting ready for a big visit, and that means that Cassidy, John, and everyone else that is on staff at the hotel is extremely busy. They’re getting ready to welcome the United States president, which is a very big deal. He’s coming in on ceremony, on his way to complete a railroad by doing the honor of driving in a golden spike to symbolize that it’s finished and ready to start up for business.

Meanwhile, someone new is coming to town. Allan Brennan is making his way to the Curry Hotel, wanting to work as an apprentice for a seasoned mountain guide familiar with Alaska. His father once died when he was on a climb of Mt. McKinley. Now Allan has worked hard and saved up the money that he has needed to make his way out to Alaskan territory.

The partner that his father climbed with thinks that Allan’s father wouldn’t have died if it weren’t for their guide. Allan doesn’t know what really happened, but one thing that he does know is that he wants to discover what’s true and what is not himself. When he meets Cassidy, a friendship forms between the two of them.

Cassidy joins Allan in starting to investigate this mystery. But once they get started, they are about to find out that maybe it isn’t as cut and dry of a case as they would want it to be. Things are far less obvious and clear than they would have estimated. On top of that, the situation for the two of them may be more dangerous than either of them ever thought that it would be.
