When it comes to whether Han shot first or not, the author firmly believes that it was Solo that made the first move and fired the shot.

‘Til Death is a noir and science fiction comedy and the debut novel in the Rockwell Return Files series. If you enjoy books with a humorous slant and various witty passages, this is one story that you’ve got to check out!
The main character of Sam Rockwell is introduced in this first book in the series by Jason Anspach. When it comes to war, Sam’s been there– and back again. He has returned to his home from the World War (the second one) and has decided to work as a new private investigator. His specialty will be focusing on helping those who are ‘Returns’. This is the term that they use have ghosts that have recently passed away, but have lingered on the Earth, coming back because they are unresolved and have unfinished business.
Sam is going to have to learn how to do this job on the fly since he is so new to it. He may not have a lot of experience exactly, but he does have the ability to fake it until he finally makes it. He would do this by imitating the attitude and detectives that he always would read about in his treasured and well used collection of pulp fiction mystery novels featuring private investigators. He has nothing but endless amounts of source material when it comes to gaining inspiration.
He may not have done this job before, but Sam does have an advantage because he is very quick when it comes to thinking on his feet. So he sits back and waits for the chance for a big break to come along that will help him out. Meanwhile, he’s also doing everything that he can to try and get into the affections and good graces of the woman that he loves. There is no question that for him, Amelia is the girl Friday that he’s always longed for.
Things are going along fine, if not fantastic. Then Sam is thrown for a loop when he finds out that his down to business father has been murdered. Not only that, but he has now turned into a Return, the very ghosts that his son has been tasked with assisting. Sam finds that everything has been turned upside down and goes on a journey, vowing to find the person that killed his father.
He has every intention of tracking this person down, but the last thing that he expects is to somehow fall into a strange game of intrigue out of the Cold War. Can he find out who killed his father, or are the games of war time going to take him down? Read this book, the first in the Rockwell Return Files series, to discover the truth for yourself!
‘Til Death: Second Impressions is the second book in the Rockwell Return Files series of fictional novels by author and science fiction fan Jason Anspach.
In the first book, readers got to meet the witty and wisecracking Sam Rockwell. Now the private detective is back again, and in an all new bind. As it turns out, the Soviets are looking for him. It’s because they want to see him dead.
Now he’s on the run so that he can save his own life. Sam isn’t planning on messing around with the Soviets. But even though he’s on the lam it doesn’t mean that he’s going to stop doing his job.
Sam decides to take on a Return and their case. The Return has somehow gotten past the radar of Heaven while managing to overstay the time that they were on earth. Sam is now engaged to Amelia, and with her by her side, he’s moving through San Francisco in the fifties while taking on another case.
When it comes to this case, just about nothing is what it appears to be. Still, Sam is choosing to follow up on his job to help the Returns and get them from being dead on earth to moving on and living in eternity. He’s trying to avoid the Soviets that want to kill him while solving crimes and righting the wrongs of the world and helping those ghosts move on. Will he have time to plan a wedding to Amelia in the middle of it all? Pick up the second installment of this series by Jason Anspach to find out!
