Bren is brought out as a fairly cocky and brash hound of a werewolf who despises the idea of belonging to Aric’s pack. His hot headed behavior’s land him in the dog house after he defies Aric’s authority right before his pack. In the end, some frightening ghosts decide to launch a rather hostile paranormal takeover forcing Bren to team up with Celia in order to take them down before they hurt anyone they both love.

A Cursed Embrace

After Celia together with her sisters successfully help master vampire Misha save his family, their powers are exposed to the Lake Tahoe supernatural community. Since fame usually comes at a price, news of their weirdness is not warmly welcomed. That aside, Celia is also being eaten up by her desire for Aric in spite of his pack’s determination to destroy the existing relationship in a bid to try and preserve his pureblood status. Unfortunately, weres start dying with evidence pointing to the vampires as responsible facing the prospects of losing Aric for good. Unfortunately, all of this chaos only masks a new threat. A new evil “tribe” surfaces and his sight is firmly fixed on Celia and her sisters.

The sisters refrain from engaging local vampires, witches and were beasts of the Lake Tahoe region right until one of them ends up blowing up a vampire in self defense.
