Melissa Storm is a USA Today bestselling American writer of women’s fiction, romance, spirituality, cozy mysteries, and contemporary stories. She has written several widely successful novel series in her career, including the Sled Dog series, Pearl Makers series, Cupid’s Bow series, Alaska Sunrise Romance series, and the First Street Church Romances. Storm says that she had a lifelong, intense desire to earn her living by telling stories. But, she was too pragmatic to select English as her major subject in college. Rather, she earned her master’s degree in the subject of Sociology & Survey Methodology. However, she still ended up slinging words, one year after her graduation. Storm loves books very much and has found a life partner who likes to tell stories like her. Her husband is a fellow writer named Falcon Storm. The two share lots of awe-inspiring, imaginative stories.

Along with her husband, Storm also runs several businesses related to books. They include Sweet Promise Press, Your Author Engine, LitRing, Author Site, and Novel Publicity. When Storm is not busy with her writing projects or reading or looking after her kid, she likes to spend time at her home in Michigan and relax as much as she can. She has a large number of dogs and one cat in her home to give her company. Other than using her original name for writing her books, Storm also writes under the pseudonyms of Mila Riggs and Molly Fitz. It is often believed about Storm’s works that they are personal and inspired by true stories. She is an active member of a number of writers’ groups such as the ACFW, the Alliance of Independent Authors, the RWA, and Novelists, Inc.

Author Storm was born on November 24, 1984, in Michigan, the United States and currently has her home located in the woods in her hometown. With LitRing, she indulges in author promotions and helps the authors to connect with a large number of readers. A popular series written by author Melissa Storm is known as Cupid’s Bow series. It is comprised of a total of 4 books, all of which were released in 2015. Storm has set the stories of this series in the 1950s, 1980s, and the present time. A few of the stories were originally released as serials and were later compiled into one set and released again. Storm has created the central characters in this series in the form of James Morgan, Deborah Walker, Rip Rockwell, Gloria Flores, and a few others. The debut book of this series is entitled ‘When I Fall in Love’. It was released by the Patridge & Pear Press in 2015. Initially, it is mentioned that James Morgan never had any belief in love. His views about love changed considerably when he saw Deborah Walker for the first time at a local beverage shop.

James surprises himself by asking Deborah for a date with him. When she agrees to come, it surprises him even more. On their date, they seem to be getting along well. James shares his past history with Deborah while she tells him about her secret dreams. As the conversation goes on, James Morgan begins to see Deborah as the perfect life partner he would like to have. But, the story takes a shocking turn when James has to sail to Korea for national duty. James cannot negotiate on fulling his duty, even if it results in heartbreak for both of them. Deborah promises James that she will wait for his return. Along the way, she begins doubting herself about waiting for two long years for a man she has known only for a day. Later, one of her friends, Rip Rockwell, returns from war and asks for Deborah’s hand in marriage.

Deborah agrees to marry Rip, forgetting about the promise she gave to James Morgan completely. Rip and Deborah live a happy life until Rip dies 50 years later, leaving Deborah all alone. In her lonely time, she feels the need for her first love as she has not been able to forget him after all. When Deborah moves to Abilene to spend the rest of her life there, James Morgan arrives out of nowhere to live in the house next door. This surprises both of them as they meet after five decades.

The second installment of this romance series is called ‘My Hearts Belong to Only You’. It was also published in 2015 by the Patride & Pear publication. This novel opens by mentioning that Rip Rockwell and James Morgan are best friends. They enlist themselves in the army together and also get shipped off to their first tour of duty to Korea. When the war breaks out and the friends’ unit is attacked, Rip Rockwell manages to survive, but there is not a word about James Morgan. This makes Rip filled with guilt as he knows that Deborah is waiting for his friend to arrive and marry her. Rip’s guilt does not let him live like a normal civilian. Then, he sees the beautiful Deborah and feels falling for her. But, he fights against his growing feelings for her as well.

The thought that he will be happy after marrying Deborah and knowing his fault has resulted in his friend’s death makes Rip feel much more guilty. Deborah wants to keep the promise that she gave to James, but she doesn’t have any idea whether he survived or not. Even if he survived, the would not be the same person as before because of the serious injuries. And when Rip comes to live next door, Deborah finds herself getting attracted to him. She is unable to get over the handsome man as he reminds her of her love, who appears to have been lost in the war. Both Deborah and Rip wonder if they can find a way to overcome their respective sorrow and guilt and build a new life together.
