G. Neri is an American artist and author.

He was born in Los Angeles. Before he became a published author, he worked in a variety of mediums. He was a producer of digital media, an animator and illustrator, a film maker, as well as one of the founding members of the anti-smoking Truth campaign.

This author first got into the print with the publication of Chess Rumble, his free verse novella. It even won him an award! His novel Yummy earned him a Coretta Scott King literary honor. His books are realistic and relatable fiction and have done quite well. As a result, his novels have made it to multiple countries and have been translated into many different languages.

He has also penned some picture books, titled Hello, I’m Johnny Cash and the book When Paul Met Artie. The author received a grant from the National Science Foundation that allowed him to fund a trip to Antarctica. He still writes on a regular basis and when he isn’t putting something down onto paper full time, he is busy spending time with his family. He resides in Florida off of the Gulf Coast along with his daughter and his wife.

Neri is the creator and the author of the Tru & Nelle series of fictional novels. This series kicked off for the first time with the debut novel of the same title’s release in March of 2016. The second book came out shortly after and is a Christmas themed story. This totally innovative and unique series focuses on the personalities and lives of celebrated authors Harper Lee and Truman Capote.

Tru & Nelle is the first book in the series of the same name by author G. Neri. You may have heard of the famed author Truman Capote, who was perhaps best well known for writing his epic non fiction novel, In Cold Blood. You may also have heard of the author of the classic novel To Kill a Mockingbird, Harper Lee.

This creative story from G. Neri is an exploration into the life of Harper and Capote when they were friends when they were kids. Growing up in Alabama in the town of Monroeville, the two of them shared a rapport long before they grew up to become who they would be.

This is of course a fictional story crafted by the author and is not actually based on facts of their real lives for the majority of what happens. But as a result, this is a pleasantly interesting and fun read. The time starts out at the Great Depression just getting started up. at the time, Nelle is just six years old, while Tru is a little older having a year on her at seven.

The two of them are the closest of friends and frequently play together. One of their favorite games to play is to pretend that they are both pirates sailing the high seas in search of treasure. Even more than the pirate game, the two of them enjoy playing detectives just like Sherlock Holmes and his partner Watson.

Tru and his friend Nelle always have a great time, but their play time always seems to get them into a bit of trouble. They are constantly in search of adventure together and when they begin to look into a theft from a drugstore, things are really going to heat up.

With a combination of heart ache and comedy interwoven into this intriguing story, this is a one of a kind telescope view into one writer’s idea of what life in the south in the thirties may have been like for two kids that would grow up to be two of the most celebrated and famous authors in America.

Tru & Nelle; A Christmas Tale is the second book in G. Neri’s Tru & Nelle series. This series focuses on the childhood adventures of two writers that would go on to shape the course of American literature forever.

Nelle and Truman Capote were always playing together when they were children and they were the fastest of friends. They loved running around in Alabama and doing their best to have adventures and find mysteries for them to solve.

Things were all going well with them but then something looming in the future threatens to change everything for good. Truman’s not going to be staying in Monroeville for long because he is going to be going to live in New York City so that he can stay with his mother.

It appears that the change is going to stick and this means that it is the end of the good times for Truman and Nelle. They will no longer be able to play together as they did. Even though they both wanted to stay friends, it turns out that their friendship was always rooted in the two of them living in the same town and being neighbors.

They both grow older, and are not able to stay in touch as much as they had hoped. Truman thought that New York was going to be lots of fun, but it didn’t seem to live up to his hopes and his expectations. It was actually a huge disappointment, Truman decided to get out of the city and is now hoping that he can go back and turn back the clock and regain that friendship with Nelle.

There is always that old saying, you can’t go back home again. Truman is about to find that it might just be more true than he would hope. It appears that he picked a bad place to run back to in Monroeville as things are not going all that well there.
