‘New York Times’ best-selling author Lora Leigh is an American writer who has been writing erotic novels set within the fantasy and romance genres for some time now. Having won awards for her books, she’s a well established writer with an ever growing audience. Attending a number of events as well, she’s a highly regarded figure on the literary scene.
Early and Personal Life
Lora Leigh was born in Ohio on the 6th of March, 1965, and raised within Martin County, Kentucky, America. It was here that she was to form the basis for much of her material as she began to create the characters that were to become beloved by so many. This was a synthesis she brought with her into her later education. Now living in Pennsylvania, she continues to use her surroundings to help inform her fiction, as it’s the peace and quiet that help give her the sanctuary she needs to create her work. With a busy home-life as well, she needs it, amidst her many hobbies and pets she takes care, things which she manages to move between with ease. She also has a son who’s left home and and a daughter who has her own children, making her a grandmother now.
Keeping in constant contact with her fan-base is something she’s well known for, having kept a good line of communication with them over the years. This is something she hopes to manage for a lot longer as she uses their feedback to help develop both her and her work. At the moment though she continues to happily write from her home in Kentucky, which she’ll carry on into the foreseeable future.
Writing Career
Developing her voice and meeting the needs of her audience has been something that author Lora Leigh has become quite adept at over the many years of career. Learning to establish a voice that is both true to herself, whilst meeting their requirements, along with the critical acclaim she’s received, is a well known talent of hers. This has helped her to create a style that is a lot stronger, enabling her to build a brand that is both recognizable and her own. Her most notable books are that of ‘The Breeds’, a series which she begun in 2003 towards the beginning of her career and has continued for twenty-nine books and counting. Making her name with this particular series, fans have come to expect a certain level of quality, something which she’s also delivered with her many other series as well.
Beginning her ‘Men of August’ series in 2003 with ‘Marly’s Choice’, she’s managed to create a somewhat consistently large output of work. Later on she’d create series such as ‘Nauti Boys’ and ‘The SEALs’ which also managed to capture and deliver the unique brand of erotica that her fans had come to expect, as her audience began to grow at an ever rapid rate. With a lot more material in the pipeline, Lora Leigh expects to continue for some time yet as she builds on her material day-by-day for her ever increasing readers, both nationally and internationally. Getting both commercial and critical appeal, she’s settled into her style of fiction easily now as she’ll carry on doing what she’s best at.
Tempting the Beast
First published in 2003 on the 25th of July, this was to be the first of ‘The Breeds’ series, marking the initial set-up for this successful line of novels. Known for it’s fairly vivid and extreme erotica, it leaves nothing out, in what is a highly charged novel. Establishing the tone and the world, it builds its formula, which was to become an ongoing staple of Leigh’s literature throughout her career.
Fighting for the survival of his pride, Callan Lyons is a genetic experiment whose struggle for freedom has been ongoing for many years now. Hoping to break away from their surroundings, he hopes to take them beyond and escape the shackles they have found themselves held in. Enter Merinus Tyler, a reporter who will throw his entire world into chaos and upheaval. Getting into a highly charged sexual affair with him, they begin to get locked into a battle of wills that’s both passionate and intense. With his ‘mating frenzy’ going into overdrive as well, it appears that they are locked into a passionate affair that neither is willing or able to break themselves free from. That’s when the Genetics Council start to come in giving chase as they now hold the pair in pursuit, leaving Callan to save the two of them, using both his wits and his strength. All this whilst holding onto the woman he loves amidst it all, protecting her and keeping her out of harm’s way. Will they be able to escape? Can they overcome their all-consuming desire for one another? What will happen when they’re tempting the beast?
Midnight Sins
The first in ‘The Callahans’ series, this was to be the novel that introduced a new line of books from author Lora Leigh. Originally published in 2011 on the 2nd of August, it was to be the novel that set-up a whole different world for her readers. Still with her somewhat raunchy tone, Leigh manages to do what she does best, offering the entertainment her readers have come to expect now.
A tough talking kid from the streets, Rafer Callahan is a strong and resourceful male who’s managed to fight his way up from his rough background. Not given the best start in life, everything he’s had he’s had to fight for, as he works for all that he owns. That is when Cambria Flannigan steps into the picture, and this is someone that he never wanted to hurt. Losing her sister a number of years ago, Cambria doesn’t believe it was Rafer and his friends as so many others do. As she hopes to settle down with him on his ranch, it soon transpires that there’s new murders afoot with many signs pointing to Rafer once again. Will she learn the truth behind who is causing these deaths? Can she find the truth in time before it’s too late? What will become of them all as they look to uncover the midnight sins?

Just finished re-reading ‘Dirty Little Lies(Men of Summer #3)’ and fell in love with Beau-Remi and couldn’t help but wonder if He and his Twin has their story told yet?
As well as all of Graces Brothers… I don’t think they did because I’ve read nearly all of your Books, but something I’m VERY curious about. Thank you!
