Then there is Viola and Sorrel Quinton who are twins born in the 20th century London. Could there be a connection between Simone’s twin sister and these other twins? If yes what type of relationship?

As Harry continues with his investigations, all his leads seemed to point him to the direction of the Small Shropshire village in Western Florina, where the ruins of Mortmain house, stand firm and forbidding on the Welsh borders. He dips his claws into the history of Mortmain which was not just violent but also terrifying. Determined to find out what happened to Sonia and Simone and even what happened to Sorrel and Viola Quinton. Spider Light

Antonia Weston is in the old market town of Amberwood. She visited the small town to try and find some peace and anonymity after she went through a tragedy that left her life shattered and broken. It does not take long after her arrival before a thread of disturbing events to start happening, events that echoed the very past she is trying desperately to bury.

She struggles to build her life again and every passing day her fascination as the ghastly history that rotate around her increase. The watermill that nobody uses, Twygrist, with its brooding darkness, and the Latchkill Asylum are all fascinating to Antonia.

The memories of the Latchkill Asylum are not entirely forgotten. The memories of how and when the Autumn Dusk, fell and no one would dare walk past those gates, the reason behind it was that a century ago, many people lost their real identities inside the Latchkill walls. For instance, Maud Lincoln, known for his innocence, was knocked out of that simplicity by a brutal plot.

Now, this fascination that Antonia has with the linked histories of the Latchkill Asylum and the Twygrist has caught the interest of someone from her past. Someone who is has much knowledge concerning the Twygrist darkness. Someone who will not hesitate to use the knowledge they have in the most horrific ways.

House of the lost

Theo Kendal is a novelist; he has inherited the remote Norfolk house in which his cousin Chamery was murdered. He believes that in inheriting that house, he will be able to establish what killed his cousin. He also believes that it will be the best place for him to complete his new book. However, the Bleak Fenn House can be a lonely place and sometimes very an uncomfortable place to be, especially during winter. Moreover, the weird thing is that the novel he is working on seems to be writing itself and it is heading towards a direction he had not planned at all.

The novelist finds himself writing about a young boy by the name of Matthew. Matthew leads a full life fear, afraid that he might get a visit from the cold-eyed men. He struggles to understand the dark secrets that surround not only him but also his entire family. The world that Matthew lives in is full of terror; people are always dying under mysterious circumstances. People getting imprisoned without a fair trial or any reason at all and their identities get wiped for good. Theo then comes to know that Matthew and his family existed. They were a part of a dark segment of history, that was full of violence, and that past threatens to come over the years and obliterate his life. In a way, all these had a connection to the death of his cousin Charmery.

The author, Rayne has developed one complex tale weaving beautifully together with a mystery that is delightful to unravel. She manages to plunge deep into the minds of several characters and reveal most of the deepest and darkest layers. The narrative addresses the theme of human suffering and how love shapes and drives a person throughout the course of their lives.
