Victoria’s career in broadcast journalism was spent in two different areas of America: West Virginia and Nebraska. In West Virginia, Victoria was employed to cover man-made and natural disasters. There, she covered a number of important events such as journalists held hostage by a Vietnam veteran, accident during the construction of a power plant, coal miners getting trapped inside a mine, etc.
While working in Nebraska, Victoria reported about farm crisis and about people losing their family land to various government projects. She was even involved in an investigative work that led her to expose the trucking of NYC garbage to a place in rural Nebraska. Throughout the course of her reporting career, Victoria covered presidents starting from Ford and up to Clinton. Victoria has even interviewed several film stars such as Kevin Costner. She was highly dedicated towards her work as was honored by many organizations. The Associated Press even went on to describe her as a storytelling genius. This served as an encouragement for Victoria while shifting from journalism to fiction writing. She claims that her liking for journalism and romance is because of the influence of her most favorite character from comic books, Lois Lane, who was a terrific reporter herself and a lovely heroine that chased Superman with great determination. While growing up, author Victoria lived in many places because of having a background in the Air Force. But now, she resides in Omaha, Nebraska along with her loving husband and a few pet dogs. Author Victoria has been living with her pets for a very long time now. During her spare time, she likes to spend time with them and care for them. Victoria seems quite satisfied with the way her life and career has shaped up in all these years. She looks forward to writing many more romance and historical novels before she calls it a day.
