Cathy Yardley is a critically acclaimed author from America, who is well known for writing chick lit, romance, and fantasy books. She is particularly famous for writing the Fandom Hearts book series, The Player’s Club series, and the Rock Your Writing series. The different novel series written by author Yardley comprise of just 2 to 3 books each. She is working towards contributing more books in her series in the coming days. Author Yardley was born on January 3, 1973, in Duchess County, New York, The United States. Having read fiction books right from her childhood days, she has become an addict of fiction and feels proud to have become so. Author Yardley is a big fan of the prominent authors like Nora Roberts, J.R. Ward, J.D. Robb, Laurell K. Hamilton, Jim Butcher, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Stephen King, Marian Keyes, Jennifer Cruise, J.K. Rowling, and many others. During her initial days, Yardley used to stay awake throughout the nights in order to finish reading the book currently going on. Still, she claims that she is not much of a reader. Besides being an avid reader, author Yardley is a big time foodie. She proudly calls herself a whore of the foodie – blog. Yardley adores Pioneer Female Cooks, loves Smitten Kitchen, and pretty much bakes her own bread every week. She thinks that the recipe of baking bread is very easy and so, it is not a much more difficult task to bake. The bread baked by her own hands tastes very good, at least she likes to think so. Her interest in cooking and eating a variety of dishes is the result of watching Total Top Chef. Yardley is a huge fan of this show and always watches it in her free time. Other than this, author Yardley considers herself a geek girl. She has a liking for the San Diego Comic con, which is popularly known as The Con. Yardley was previously involved with the Creative Anachronism Society SCA and had sponsored her own small army for some time.

Author Yardley learned to speak a little bit of Japanese by watching anime series. She says that she has an excellent encyclopedic knowledge about obscure movies and character actors. On many occasions, she has been called in to settle the bar bets by saying what is correct from her knowledge. Author Yardley and Excel spreadsheets seem to have more of a flirtatious than appropriate relationship as she faces a hard time while working on them. When Yardley used to work for her day job before the start of her writing career, people around her as well as her colleagues used to think that she was going for an interview whenever she wore lipstick. And even after several years of leaving that job, the whole marketing department of that company lives in the fear of her memory even to this day. Being able to make a name for herself in the world of writing has made author Yardley very happy. She says that she loves the idea of being a novelist. Yardley hopes that she would make it to the bestseller list some day. Until then, she enjoys her work, loves to write and promote her books, and appreciates almost everything that comes into her life. A successful novel series written by Cathy Yardley is known as Fandom Hearts. This series is comprised of a total 2 novels and 1 novella, which were released between the years 2015 and 2017. Each of the novels of the romance series depicts a different set of central characters, whose love story and life story are described by the author. The debut novel of the Fandom Hearts series is entitled ‘Level Up’. It was released by author Yardley herself in the year 2016. The chief characters described in the novel include Tessa Rodriguez and Adam London. The story of these characters is a mixture of romance and comedy. At the start of the book’s story, Tessa Rodriguez is introduced as a geeky introvert. She looks to do all those things that will help her get promoted to the rank of an engineer of video games. She even thinks of creating a fandom based game in only 3 weeks. However, the problem is that she cannot do it all by herself alone. Now, in order to achieve her dreams, Tessa needs to cajole, strong-arm, and socialize with the other video game developers. And one such coworker is her roommate named Adam. He has also had a strict business relation with Tessa Rodriguez, in spite of living with her in the same room for some time. But, as soon as they start working together, their closeness begins to increase. Adam used to not give any importance to Tessa before. But, the things began to change when he agreed to assist her in her crazy project. Slowly, he comes very close to Tessa and cannot help, but think about her all the time. It becomes quite clear that she has become more than a roommate for him. Adam doesn’t wish to rush with his relationship with Tessa because his previous girlfriend left him to fulfill his ambitions, and he is aware that Tessa Rodriguez is also a career-oriented girl trying to make a big name in the world of video games. It looks as a great challenge for Adam and Tessa to go a level up in their relationship and become more than just friends.

The second book of the series is called ‘One True Pairing’. This book was published by the Swerve publication in 2017. The main characters mentioned in this book by author Yardley include Jake Reese and Haily Frost. At the beginning of the story of the book, it is depicted that Jake Reese is in need of a decoy girlfriend. And he needs a girl for this purpose fast. Jake, who is the lead actor on a famous television show called Mystics has become tired of dealing with his overly eager fans. And when he meets the barista and bookworm Hailey Frost, it looks as if she is almost perfect for her need. However, Haily Frost does not seem interested in him in spite of his fame. Also, she is not impressed with his TV show. Hailey seems more desperate to protect the bookstore of her family. The match of these 2 characters appears to have been made in the Hollywood. Realizing each other’s need in their lives, the two agree to look like lovers to the outside world. They begin to go on dates very often. And the more they meet, the more start liking each other. It seems quite obvious that their fake relationship can turn into a real one.
