Willow Rose is a bestselling author that writes fantasy, paranormal and romance novels. Willow includes Stephen King, Isabel, Agatha Christie, James Patterson and Anne Rice amongst her inspirations.

The author’s works include series like Jack Ryder and Emma Frost, not to mention to the Savage books.

+Biography

Willow Rose comes from Copenhagen in Denmark. However, the author lives in the United States with her husband and children. Willow Rose is fond of her home country. However, the author was forced to move to get away from the cold.

She has admitted that she misses the people, her friends and family in particular. However, they always make an effort to visit her in Florida. And she has found that the difficulties of adjusting to a new home have been more than worth the joys of living with such warm weather.

Willow Rose started out as an ardent reader. She knew she wanted to be a writer fairly early on. While she did not necessarily take to writing during those early years, Willow remembers the love she held for storytelling.

The author always had a tale or two with which she would regale her friends at school. Her storytelling skills were such that her classmates would often forget to go out for recess, too absorbed by the words coming from Willow.

It wasn’t long before Willow graduated from telling stories the old fashioned way to writing them. The author was lucky enough to have a teacher that understood her gift and encouraged her to pursue it with a passion.

It helped that Willow had proven her zeal for writing by filling many a notebook with her stories.

Life outside college did not immediately lead Willow Rose down the path to publishing. But she wasn’t too far off, choosing to pursue journalism for a few years before finally settling down to write her first novel at the age of 28.

Willow was still living in Denmark at this point. Her first three publishing attempts were mystery novels written in Danish. While the books had their fans in Denmark, they did nothing to inspire Willow Rose to keep writing.

The fact that mystery novels require a sense of realism in order to work left Willow feeling bored. She had no opportunity to put her wild imagination to proper use. Even after she switched to writing in the English language, Willow continued to produce mystery. But it wasn’t long before everyone involved agreed that Willow’s heart wasn’t in it.

So she changed tracks and tried her hand at producing fantasy. It didn’t take Willow Rose long to realize that she had found where she belonged. The author had so much fun writing ‘The Eye of the Crystal Ball’, her first fantasy novel that she couldn’t wait to deliver more novels set within fantastical realms.

Willow was introduced to the fantasy genre through ‘The Neverending Story’, a book written by Michael Ende that she still loves to this day. Since those early days of trying to reproduce the joy she elicited from Michael Ende’s work, Willow has found that she is most comfortable writing Paranormal Romance.

Even though the author is always writing about shapeshifting jaguars and other monsters most commonly found in the young adult genre, Willow’s books are written with adults in mind.

Willow takes a lot of her ideas for books from her daily experiences. She will read a book or a newspaper article, or watch a movie that will spark an idea in that wildly imaginative brain of hers. Willow says that her ideas tend to just suddenly manifest in her brain.

Rather than a slow buildup of concepts, the ideas just pop up in Willow’s mind, with her characters, their backstories and the eventual outcomes of their plots all ready to go.

Willow Rise cites her children as crucial sources of inspiration. Willow believes that children have the most imaginative brains in the world and she enjoys exploring the manner in which her kids view the world. Her sense of magic and wonder comes from the way her children view the world.

Her husband, who designs the covers for her books, is also an important factor in the author’s writing process.

It is worth noting that ‘Willow Rose’ is actually a pseudonym. After deciding that she would pursue a career as an English fictional author, Willow and her husband decided that her Danish name was too complicated and that it would probably confuse her English audience. Willow Rose was the result of the author and her husband’s attempts at creating a friendly pen name that audiences were more likely to remember.

+One, Two—He is coming for you

Rebekka Franck chooses the worst possible time to move to a small Danish coastal town. The journalist was intent on escaping the turmoil of her ex-husband. Then the wealthiest man in the Kingdom was murdered in a most brutal manner, complicating Rebekka’s attempts at starting a new life with her daughter.

Attached to a local newspaper, Rebekka doesn’t think much of the murder even as she tries to cover it alongside her photographer Sune. But then another rich man is murdered and Rebekka realizes that a serial killer might be haunting Denmark.

This is Willow Rose’s first English Language novel. The book is typically marketed under the T.P. Boje name, which is Willow Rose’s name. The author was a pretty renowned Scandinavian author of mystery novels by the time she wrote this book. This was before Willow moved to the United States and became a famous paranormal romance author.

This book chronicles the efforts of a journalist who tries to track down a brutal serial killer even while running from her abusive ex-husband. The fact that this is Willow’s first English Language novel shows in the grammatical errors.

+Itsy Bitsy Spider

When Emma Frost decides to move to Fanoe Island, her teenage daughter isn’t too happy with the change. Emma inherited a house on the Island so it made sense to move the family to Fanoe. Emma begins to regret the decision when an old woman dies near their home and murder is suspected.

Emma begins to realize that her new island might have dark secrets waiting to be revealed. She also learns that these secrets might extend to her family. So she begins digging.
